"Go Gold"

On the planet Triforia....

            Trey took out his staff and morphed into the Gold Ranger. He and his 14 year old cousin Triden were being attacked by Scorpina. Gold Ranger fought Scorpina off for a while but then she decided to change into her monster form, which made her more powerful. She came at Triden with her stinger.

Trey said, “Watch out Triden!”

Triden  

            “Okay Trey, I will.”

            Triden morphed into the gold ranger and attacked Scorpina. She said, “You think you can stop me you little brat? Goldar!”

            Goldar came swooping down and landed next to Scorpina. He said, “Yes my dear.”

            “Let’s get this kid!”

            “Ehh heh heh, Yes!”

            Goldar and Scorpina fought Triden and the three Trey’s. Triden was busy fighting off Scorpina when he saw from the corner of his eye Goldar strike the Trey’s and all three fell off a cliff. Triden watched in horror as he saw his cousin fall to his death. While Triden was distracted Scorpina stung him and he fell to the ground.

            Triden quickly arose and called on Pyramidas. Pyramidas came flying in. Goldar and Scorpina were unable to grow on their own and were not ready to fight a zord.

Goldar said, “Forget it! Let’s get out of here!”

            Scorpina said, “Until next time Gold Ranger.”

            Goldar took Scorpina in his arms and flew off with her. They flew down to where Trey had landed and noticed he was still alive. Goldar said, “No it can’t be. He survived.”

            “Well Goldar perhaps we can use him as a hostage. Let’s take him with us back to the ship.”

            “Good idea!”

            Goldar grabbed the weakened Trey’s and they teleported into Scorpina’s Scorpion Stinger ship. Inside Scorpina said, “Well Trey you’re not so tough without your power now are you? We were unsuccessful in getting the gold ranger power this time, but we will succeed.”

            Triden was demorphed and looked down into the trench and believed Trey was dead. He felt really guilty that it was his fault Trey was hurt. If Trey hadn’t jumped in front of the stinger to save him, Trey would still be alive. Now Trey was gone and Triden was responsible for the gold ranger power. Triden  vowed to avenge Trey’s death. He would carry on the tradition of the gold ranger. And he decided he would look for Goldar and Scorpina to get his revenge.

2 months later...

            Triden had not heard anything from Goldar and Scorpina for months and decided to stop waiting around for them. He instead decides to travel to Earth and help fight there like his cousin once did. He got into Pyramidas and headed toward Earth.

            When he reached Earth he hid Pyramidas in the mountains of Angel Grove. He then decided to go find a place to stay. While walking along the streets he came across a place called, “Bandora’s Palace.” He thought the place looked pretty interested, it was not like any of the other hotels he had seen, so he went inside. There was a woman at the desk in front with brown hair and brown eyes. She appeared to be Hispanic. (Hmm didn’t she used to be Asian?) She said, “Hello my name is Rita Bandora. Do you need any help?” (Bandora is the name she uses now as a human)

            “Well actually I kinda need a room.”

            “You don’t have a family? How old are you 14 or so?”

            “My only family was my older cousin and he died recently.”

            “I’m sorry to hear that. Well we normally don’t give rooms to people so young, but for you I’ll make an exception. Oh by the way what was your name?’

            “Triden.”

            “Interesting. Well here is the key to room 3.”

            “Oh, my favorite number. Thank you.”

            “That will be $54 dollars for tonight.”

            Triden handed Rita some money. He had no Earth money when he arrived so, though he knew it was wrong, he stole some money before hand so that he could pay for the room. After getting settled in his room Triden went to go get something to eat.

            He went to a place called “Bulkmeier's.” He sat down at a table and noticed a pretty 15 year old girl with brown hair sitting at a table with her older cousin. She noticed Triden looking at her and smiled. Triden smiled back. 

            Another 15 year old, who had black dyed hair and was wearing a black leather jacket came up to the girls table. He said, “Hey Teslee so how about you and me go to the Senses Fail concert this weekend?”

Sid  Teslee

            She replied, “Um, no thanks Sid. I all ready told you last night that I’d rather not go out with you again.”

            “Oh yeah right. Come on you know you want me just admit it.”

            “Shove off jerk.”

            Ashley, her cousin, said, “Leave her alone Sid. She all ready said she wasn’t interested.”

            Sid replied, “Stay out of this Ashley.”

            Sid grabbed Teslee by the arm and said, “You’re going to that concert with me. Got it?”

            Triden saw this and went over to them and pulled Sid off of Teslee. He said, “Hey punk, leave her alone.”

            Sid looked angry and said, “Excuse me? And just who the hell are you twerp?”

            “My name’s Triden. And I think you should leave her alone.”
            “Triden? What kinda stupid name is that?”

            “Look I don’t want to cause any trouble. Just leave her alone okay.”

            “You don’t even know her.”

            Teslee said, “Thank you Triden, but really I’m okay. Sid can’t hurt me.”

            Sid said to Triden, “You know I could kick your ass kid, but you’re worth the time. I’m outta here.”

            Sid left  Bulkmeier's. Triden said, “Hi, Sorry about that. It’s just I couldn’t stand him treating you like that.”

            Teslee replied, “It’s okay. He’s a jerk and I made the mistake of going out with him. But I can handle ol’ Sid Skullovich.”

            Ashley said, “Well Teslee I have to go meet Andros. I’ll see you later.”

            “Okay, bye Ashley.”

            Ashley left and Triden and Teslee were alone.

            Teslee asked, “So what’s your story Triden? How did you end up here in Angel Grove?”

            “Well I used to live on…I mean in another city. My parent’s died when I was really young so I was raised mostly by my cousin Trey. But now he died as well so I’m on my own. So I came here for a new start.”

            “Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Ashley is my cousin, and I don’t know what I would do with out her.”

            “Well I’m used to being on my own. So I should be okay.”

            “Oh the rebel loner type eh? Suuure.”

            “Hey!”

            “No I’m just kidding. Hey um Sid’s band is playing here tomorrow night. Would you like to go?”

            “Sid’s band? I thought you didn’t like him.”

            “Well yeah Sid is a jerk, but really he’s harmless. Besides his band is so rad!”

            “Well yeah then I guess I will.”

            “Cool. Then I’ll see you here tomorrow night about 7?”

            “Yeah okay.”

            “Great!”

            Teslee got on her skateboard and skated off. Triden was about to return to his table to eat when he saw Goldar and Scorpina in giant mode and attacking the city. Finally he could get his revenge. He ran to the back of Bulkmeier's and made sure no one was around. He pulled out his morpher. Teslee meanwhile had wanted to tell Triden something else. She saw him go behind the building and followed him. She saw him take his morpher out and turn into the gold ranger. Teslee was amazed to see this. She knew of her cousin Ashley’s past as a power ranger, but she would never have suspected Triden to be a power ranger also.

            Triden called for Pyramidas and fought Goldar and Scorpina off. They were worthy opponents but Triden’s anger and thirst for revenge gave him the upper hand. He struck them both down and Goldar and Scorpina couldn’t last any longer. They retreated back to the Scorpion Stinger.

            Ashley and Andros were at home and saw a news break about the fight in the city. Andros said, “That was the gold ranger. What do you think he’s doing back here in Angel Grove?” 

            “And what about Goldar? I thought he turned to dust when Zordon’s energy wave hit.”

            “We should definitely look into this.”

            Triden still as the gold ranger went back down to Bulkmeier’s. Sid had been watching the fight and decided he would see who the gold ranger really was. His older brother had once tried to discover the identities of the power rangers and Sid wanted to succeed where his older brother failed. Sid followed the gold ranger and hid. He watched as he demorphed and was shocked to see Triden. Sid watched as Triden was approached by Teslee.

            She said, “So you’re the new gold ranger.”

            “What? Teslee. What are you doing here?”

            “I saw you morph.”

            “Look you can’t tell anyone.”

            “Don’t worry I won’t. You can trust me.”

            “Thank you.”

            Sid came out and said, “But it’s me you might have to worry about.”

            Triden replied, “Oh great.”

            “Hey Triden it’s okay. I won’t tell anyone. That is of course as long as you take us for a little spin in your little pyramid thing.”

            “Well I dunno about that.”

            “Come on what’s the use of having a kickass ship like that if you can’t take it for a little joy ride?”

            “Pyramidas isn’t a joyride. I was entrusted with this power and I should not abuse it.”

            “Dude lighten up. Come on how bout a little chase into space? I mean you wouldn’t want me to let out your little secret now would you?”

            Triden was quiet for a while then finally said, “Fine I’ll take you guys.”

            Teslee said, “Are you sure Triden?”

            “Yeah it’ll be okay. Just don’t touch anything Sid. I’ll be watching you.”

            They all went into the cockpit of Pyramidas and flew into space. As they were passing the moon Sid noticed Lord Zedd’s moon palace was still there. It had been abandoned years ago when the machine Empire attacked. Sid said, “Oh sick! We so have to go check that out!”

            Triden replied, “The moon palace?”

            “Yeah! Don’t worry that place has been deserted for years! Come on! It would be so much fun to run around in there!”

            Teslee said, “Yeah it does actually sound kinda fun. How about it Triden?”

            “Well yeah okay. I guess.”

            Triden landed Pyramidas on the moon and the three teens walked into the abandoned moon palace. The floor was covered in a thick fog. Teslee found her way into what had been Rita Repulsa’s room. She looked into the closet and way in the back found one of Rita’s dresses. She put it on and decided to go scare Sid.

            Sid meanwhile had found his way to the Chamber of Command. There he saw Zedd’s throne and he went and sat in it. He said, “Hahaha! I am now ruler of the moon palace! All bow to me!”

            Triden walked in and said, “Yeah you look real scary there Sid.”

            “Shut up loser.”

            Teslee came in with her Rita dress on and stood in the dark doorway. She said in her best Rita voice, “Ahhh I have a headache!”

            Sid could not see her face and only her silhouette, so he believed it was really Rita Repulsa. He said, “Oh shit! Rita, I’m sorry! I didn’t know you were here.”

            Teslee came into the light and said, “You dorkmeyer! Man I can’t believe you fell for that.”

            “Hey shut up! You guys don’t know. What if this place is haunted or something.”

            “Yeah right.”

            “No really. Whatever man. I’m gonna go check this place out.”

            Sid left the Chamber of Command and went to explore some more. Teslee and Triden went out to the balcony and looked out at the stars.

            Triden said, “I’m the worst gold ranger ever.”

            “No you’re not. You did great today, the way you made Goldar and Scorpina run like little babies.”

            “Yeah well I should have killed them. They killed my cousin Trey.”

            “So it was them. And Trey? You mean the original gold ranger?”

            “Yeah. How did you know that?”

            “My cousin Ashley knew him. She was the yellow space ranger.”

            “Oh wow! I had no idea.”

            “Yeah.”

            “Well anyway I made a vow to myself that I would avenge Trey’s death but so far I’ve not accomplished much as the gold ranger. I mean one day on Earth and all ready two people have discovered my true identity. Trey would never have been that careless.”

            “Hey stop putting yourself down. I think you’ll make a great gold ranger.”

            Teslee leaned in and kissed Triden on the cheek. He blushed and said, “Well thanks.”

            “You’re welcome.”

            “Hey well we should go see what Sid is up to. Before he gets into any trouble.”

            “Yeah.”

            Meanwhile on Earth Goldar noticed Bandora’s palace. The hotel was very similar in design to Rita’s old moon palace. He looked inside and saw the human Rita and Zedd together in the hotel at the front desk. Goldar said, “Scorpina it’s them! Look at them all happy and lovey dovey. They went from running and evil empire...to running a hotel?”

            “Oh I know it’s despicable. But I know of a spell that will turn them back into their evil selves.”

            “Excellent! With Rita and Zedd back on our side we will definitely be able to stop that annoying gold ranger.”

            Scorpina transformed herself into the human form Sabrina. She went into the hotel. She said, “Oh hi I was wondering if you had any rooms available.”

            “Yes we do actually.”

            “Great.”

            “Oh Zedd dear,c an you come help me with this customer.”

            Zedd came over and helped Rita. Scorpina took this as her chance. She began reciting the spell. Rita looked confused. But suddenly Rita and Zedd were both in a trance. Scorpina took some dust and sprinkled it on the two of them and then she finished the spell. Right before her eyes they were transformed back into Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd.

            Rita cried, “Ahh after 7 years I’m free! It’s time to conquer Earth!”

            Goldar laughed, “Ehhheehehe!”

            Lord Zedd said, “Excellent job Goldar and Scorpina.”

            Goldar said, “We have a lot to fill you in on. But let’s get out of this place first.”

            “My moon palace? Is it still there?”

            “Yes of course master!”

            “Excellent! Then we will go there.”

            They teleported up to the moon.

            Back at the moon palace Triden and Teslee had met up with Sid. Triden said, “Okay guys we should probably get out of here now.”

            “Yeah I guess you’re right,” Sid agreed. "Skull always told me when you're breaking the rules its best not to stay in the same place for too long."

            Just then they heard voices coming from the Chamber of Command. Sid said, “Uh sounds like we got company.”

            Triden replied, “It sounds like Goldar and Scorpina are here. Come on we gotta get out of here.”
            Goldar was behind them and said, “Not so fast.”
