CLUB HEAD PLAYABILITY FACTOR

SELECTING YOUR PLAYABILITY FACTORS

Choose the colors that will help you achieve your ball flight desires and write them down. Then find a head on my site that has these colors. This head will help you achieve your game improvement desires.

TRAJECTORY...       What trajectory would you like ?
A measure of the head's ability to produce a high, moderate or low (boring) shot trajectory.

Trajectory   LOW-LAUNCH  ..Low Trajectory
Trajectory   MID-LAUNCH  ..Average Trajectory
Trajectory   HI-LAUNCH  ..High Trajectory

FORGIVENESS...       Forgiveness or workability ?
The head's Resistance to twisting on off-center hits as well as its ability to produce favorable distance and accuracy on off-center hits.

Forgiveness   MINIMAL  ..Least Forgiving
Forgiveness   MODURATE  ..Average Forgiveness
Forgiveness   MAXIMUM  ..Most Forgiving

WORKABILITY...       Do you want to work the ball ?
The ease ability to purposely shape your golf shots. (ie. draw or fade).

Workability   HIGH  ..Hi Workability
Wokability   MODURATE  ..Average Workability
Workability   LOW  ..Low Workability

GOLF SHAFT PERFORMANCE INDEX

SELECTING YOUR SHAFT PERFORMANCE INDEX

Choose the colors that will help you achieve your ball flight desires and write them down. Then find a golf shaft on my site that has these colors. This golf shaft will help you achieve your game improvment desires.

TRAJECTORY...       What trajectory would you like ?
(Profile) Represents the golf shafts ability to aid in getting the ball airborne. The bend/kick point, along with tip flexibility, influences the launch angle and trajectory. Generally golfers with high club-head speed will benefit the most from high bend/kick points. And vice versa for slower swing speeds.

Trajectory   LOW-TRAJECTORY   Low bend/kick point
Trajectory   MID-TRAJECTORY    Mid bend/kick point
Trajectory   HI-TRAJECTORY   Hi bend/kick point

TORQUE...       The lower the touque-the firmer the tip feels.
This is the measure of the shafts' rotational twisting at the tip end. Strong players that apply more stress to the shaft will require shafts with lower torque ratings. Slower swinging players should use the higer torque values to retain the feel and flexability of the shaft.

Trajectory   LOW-TORQUE   Less than 3.5°
Trajectory   MODURATE-TORQUE   3.6° to 4.8°
Trajectory   HIGH-TORQUE   More than 4.9°

WEIGHT...       Low shaft weight=lower total club weight.
The weight of the golf shaft is the greatest variable to the golf clubs "total weight". It is important to choose a shaft within the weight range that allows you to hit the ball with the greatest reliability. Generally, fast, quick-tempo swings require heavier shafts and smoother-tempo, slower swings require lighter shafts.

Trajectory   STANDARD WEIGHT  Strong swing & quick tempo
Trajectory ..LIGHT WEIGHT  Average swing & normal tempo
Trajectory ..ULTRA-LIGHT Slower swing-smooth tempo
