This is a recipe from the May issue of BYOB magazine. Some changes were made to accomadate a 2 1/2 gallon batch. I've made it but haven't tried it yet. Original gravity was pretty high near a barlywine gravity.
Dissolve Dme into 1 1/2 gallon of water and add hops. Bring to a boil for 60 min. After the boil is over add the corn sugar and stir to dissolve. At this point it will be like a thin syrup. Cool and rack to a 3 gallon carboy and add water to bring up to 3 gallons. Add the corn meal and the raisins and yeast.
