Caracas is truly a beautiful city. It has approximately five million citizens and has chic boutiques, great restaurants, and fancy shops.El Capitolio is the home of the National Congress. It is one of the most attractive sights in the city. The dome's ceiling is covered with many scenes from the battle of Carabobo. This was perhaps the most crucial event in the War of Independence from Spain. |

Caracas tends to be hectic and is traffic-clogged, yet I really enjoyed this city. Ever since I was a young boy I had always wanted to visit the capital city of Venezuela. My dream became reality many years later but it was worth it.A university student was kind enough to drive us around Caracas. Believe me, there is a lot to see! We also got on their very modern Metro which opened in 1983. It is air-conditioned, clean, and is said to be quite safe. |
