This is the J. Felix Sanchez Church. This is one of the many churches to be found in Venezuela. I just had to stop and admire its beauty. Later I discovered that I was not the only person to do so because I saw it on the cover of a South American guide to Venezuela. |

This is the beautiful city of Merida. It was founded in 1558 and is about 700 kilometres from Caracas. It is set in emerald green valleys and surrounded by many peaks, the highest being Pico Bolivar at 5, 007 metres. The people are extremely polite and we felt very secure while visiting parts of this city. |
