In episode #5, Tenchi is picking vegetables outside while the girls are in the hot springs. After a while, all of sudden a green sphere apears. Ryoko, knowing exactly what it is, tries to escape, but the sphere already turned into Kagato, the one who claims to have created Ryoko! He attacks Ryoko so she didn't escape. Then he takes Ryoko with him and leaves. Then Tenchi apears and Mihoshi tells everybody what is going on. After that, they go to Yosho's tree and waits for Kagato to apear. Eventually he apears and they fight him. Tenchi grandfather apears and reveals his identity. He is really Yosho. He takes the sword that Kagato was about to steal from Tenchi and fights Kagato with in a long battle. Kagato starts controlling Ryoko to fight for him. Yosho tries not to hurt Ryoko, but ends up cutting her hand off. Kagato was losing, so escapes right after that. Later on, after Yosho truley lets Tenchi have the sword, they all go after Kagato in Ryo-Oki's Space-ship form. The whole gang is surprised at the fact that he can transform. They take the cockpit of Ayeka's ship along (which is the only thing that survived her crash) and Ryo-Oki somehow takes and caries inside of him. They finally find Kagato and they start attacking him and Ayeka askes Tenchi if he could go in her cockpit, and open the Lighthawk wings. He does, after a while, they both fire enormous balls of energy at each other and Ayeka's cock pit talks allthe damage and Kagato ship doesn't take any damage. It seems as if there is no trace of Tenchi left anywhere. Ryoko gets extremely mad and brakes out of where she is being held captive to go look for a trace of Tenchi in the coldness of space. She does find one thing, the bandana Tenchi was wearing. The is only one thing wrong with the bandana he was wearing, it's full of blood. That is the end of the exciting fifth episode of Tenchi MUYO!
In the 6th episode of Tenchi MUYO, Ryoko is crying for Tenchi because she thinks that he is dead. She eventually teleports into Ryo-ohki, her ship along with Mihoshi and Ayeka. Ayeka wants to know where Tenchi is too. Ryoko just throws Ayeka the bandanna. She relizes that its Tenchi's and its full of blood and she starts crying also. Ryoko gets ready to battle Kagato powering up with another one of her gems and commands Ryo-ohki to charge at Kagato's ship. Later on, they some get in Kagato's ship. Ryoko says that every way leads to him so they all take their own paths to him. They eventually meet up again but Mihoshi fools with her control cube and ends up walking upsidedown underneath Ryoko and Ayeka. While Ryoko and Ayeka are heading towards Kagato, Mihoshi finds two enormous snakes and she fights them and she isn't doing too well so she fools around with her control cube. She eventually makes Washu, the greatist scientific genius in the universe, wake up from her slumber and she destroys the snakes instantly. Back to Ryoko and Ayeka. Ayeka starts the battle off by attacking Kagato head on and he is not affected at all. Ryoko then shoots a laser at him and he is greatly damaged. Then she stabs him in the back and he disapears. Then she relizes that it is just his shadow. Then the real Kagato apears and turns Ryoko to stone. Then Washu brings Ryoko to her dimention and she introduces herself to Ryoko and tells her that she is Ryoko's mother! Kagato is trying to hypnotize Ayeka at this time to get some information out of her about the greatest ship of Jurai, Tsunami. She doesn't give in though. She breaks out of her trance, and Kagato is about to deliver teh final blow as Ryoko fires a beam at his arm. Then they break out into a huge battle. Eventually, Washu realizes that Ryoko is losing. She wonders why because she should be able to defeat Kagato easily with her full power. Then she finds out that Ryoko is trying to protect Ayeka and fight Kagato at the same time. Washu then asks Mihoshi for her control cube and she brings Ayeka to the alternate dimension that Mihoshi and herself are in. Then surprisingly, Ryoko continues to lose because Kagato has all the gems. Just as Ryoko is about to be finished off, Tenchi arrives and slices off Kagato's arm. (He just regenerates another one though.) Then the guardians appear and they protect Ryoko while Tenchi fights. He doesn't do that well, and eventually Kagato leaves him alone for a bit and obtains Tsunami. Then Tenchi gets a message from Tsunami saying that he should trust in his own power. So he throws his sword aside and Kagato decides to finish him off, so he fires a beam at Tenchi. He thinks that he finshed him off, but realizes that he is very much alive, thanks to the fact that he can generate the wings of the lighthawk. The wings then transform him into his Ultra Juraian Battle Suit. Then he creates the ultimate sword.
