Dreamcatching Studios' Custom Model Gallery

Welcome to the Dreamcatching Studios gallery of repaints! The gallery is not divided into color right now as I don't think it's large enough to do that, but hopefully someday soon it will be! This page is very graphics intensive, so please be patient as it loads. It is not very complete right now as there are several models I have not been able to photograph before handing them over to their owners, but hopefully someday I'll get pictures of at least some of those. Thanks for checking out my work!

Name unknown - This model was a donation for the ReRun benefit paintoff held by Tamara McNamera. It is the SM TB with its head tucked, forelock added, and new ears. Hooves are carved. It is painted a creamy pale dappled palomino with no white markings. The model is not as yellow as this picture shows. Sold to benefit ReRun, a racing TB rescue, on eBay to Allison Malone.

Norwegian Wood - SM Standardbred in a simple and very pretty medium bay. He has a large star and three socks, carved ears and hooves, stripes on one hoof, painted shoes, and dapples. He does not have the purplish coloring seen in the photo! He has received multiple live show placings, every time beating my SM STB painted by Beth Hoffert, and once placed in a very large class judged by Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig! He was donated to the Chenoweth Benefit and is now owned by Evelyn Houchens. Picture taken by Ronni Marcum.

Name unknown - SM stock horse in a beautiful silver dapple overo. He has two small overo spots on each side, a bald face, and a blue eye and a brown. His hooves are carved and painted the typical stock horse show black, with shaded frogs/undersides and painted shoes. He is a very pretty color with starry dapples (that are nearly invisible in this pic). My first silver dapple who came out very nicely! Owned by Vickie Hearn.

Alexi - SM pony repainted to an adorable dappled chestnut rabicano. He has a fabulous mixed mane and tail, one lovely blue eye, a crooked stripe, and carved ears and hooves. He was NAN-qualified (first out of four) before I did some touchups on him. Very cute! Owned by Ella Du Pree.

Name unknown - SM Paso repainted to a lovely buckskin. Beautiful shading, four stockings, carved ears, nostrils and hooves. She has very pretty, realistic coloring. Owned by Jody Rhodes.

Season of the Witch - One of my finest repaints yet, this photo does her no justice! SM ASB in a luscious red bay tobiano, with incredible shading (especially her facial shading), subtle dapples, mapping, ermine spots, blaze with bulletholes, carved ears, nostrils and hoof backs, subtle pinking in all the right places, crimson and silver ribbons, shaded shell hooves with painted shoes, and the crowning glory - an AMAZING blue eye. Absolutely gorgeous, I can't wait to hear how she shows. Owned by Chris Wallbruch.

Name unknown - SM Warmblood in a fabulous dappled gold-red chestnut with a beautifully blended flaxen mane and tail and awesome sabino markings. This horse was donated to the Winterzona Live auction along with a mare and foal, who I don't have pictures of...but the mare was the stock horse regendered, in a pale dapple buckskin tobiano, and the foal, who was my first model to NAN qualify, was a baby palomino tobiano on the cavorting foal mold. The set is owned by Dani Ash.

Alexi - Breyer SM pony repainted to an adorable strawberry roan with a blaze, half-pastern, and a beautiful flaxen mane and tail. Unforunately, Alexi's paint job suffered some damage and he was repainted. He's now a rich, dapple chestnut rabicano with a crooked blaze, one blue eye, and a mixed mane and tail.

Name unknwon - Breyer SM rearing Arab in a beautiful blue roan with a very large (almost bald face) blaze. My first roan and he came out quite well! Owned by Vickie Hearn

Adie - Breyer SM old mold TB mare in a rich, dark dappled chestnut, with 4 stockings, and a broken stripe/snip. My first chestnut, with beautiful shading. Owned by Jennifer Dodd. But the finish messed up her paint job, so she is being re-done, too...same color, just a fresh coat with a flaxen m/t.

Splashed Ivory - Breyer SM Saddlebred in a beautiful dark coppery chestnut medicine hat tobiano. She has blue eyes and lots of pinking in the right spots, and metallic blue and copper ribbons. This is one of my best-showing repaints, having garnered many ribbons in tough competition. Recently sold to Elizabeth Collins. Just NAN-qualified in a class of 18 wonderful Saddlebred customs at MAR!

Overture - SM Standardbred painted a unique, tawny, dappled golden chestnut. One sock, star and a snip. He's got a brilliant metallic color and lots of dapples. However, I wasn't quite happy with his shading, so I repainted him to a bright bay, who recently got a great placing at a show under judge Sarah M-B. Picture of the redo coming soon.

Piggies - Breyer SM Clydesdale etched. He is now an awesome bay roan with flashy sabino markings. This picture is terrible, you can barely see the etching, but he is now a lovely roan with 'frosting' in his tail, and repainted eyes and hooves. Just given as a birthday present to my very good friend Jen Dodd.

Veralidaine - Breyer SM Paso in a brilliant dappled golden palomino. Lots of soft, subtle dapples, very bright coloring, four stockings. She also has painted on shoes. But I wasn't happy with her facial shading so I repainted her to a buckskin.

Pluto's Serenity - Judy Renee Pope's Lailah resin, in a gorgeous, subtly dappled copper chestnut, with a star, snip and two socks. This is a terrible direct scan, her color is much lovelier and better shaded than this. Live show placed over some gorgeous resins. Last owned by Christina Collins.

Name unknown - Breyer SM old mold ASB painted a flashy, dappled flaxen chestnut sabino. This mare has lots of details - tri-eyes, carved ears, detailed markings, and painted on shoes and hoof pads. She was donated to the Motown Live 2000 raffle and won by Dee Majors.

Cat Tracks Full Moon - Peter Stone Western Pleasure Horse in an unusual chestnut tobiano. Changed to a mare. Lots of white and some snazzy "cat tracks," plus delicate pinking and blackened hooves, typical of stock show horses. Picture by Rebecca Lestina, owned by Kathy McCurdy.

Chiron - Kathleen Moody's SM trotting Friesian stallion resin, Jarich. I painted my copy to this beautiful black tobiano with mapping, subtle pinking, flashy facial markings and a blue eye. I'm not sure yet what to show him as, though. The second resin I've painted and I think he came out very well. Owned by Becky Jones.

Wild Child - SM stock horse painted a rich chocolate point dun overo with one blue eye, painted on shoes, blaze, 2 socks, and lots and lots of primitive markings. He has very nice shading, eyes, and hooves, though I think his overo markings need work (they're sort of unrealistic). But I think he's got great coloring and is a good example of my progress! However, I decided he'd benefit from a better paint job and is now a more realistic silver dapple overo.
