Chapter 11
Jill couldn't read the journal in homeroom. Too many witnesses. Luckily for her, she had first peroid study hall. When she got to Mr. Flinn, the study hall monitor's room, she signed out to go to the library. When she got to the library, she sat at an empty table in the back. Then she strated reading.
The journal started when Zellary moved to Tulsa. Jill read through Zel meeting Ronnie, then meeting Zac and Marc, the Zac asking her out. The next major event was when she met Jill at the mall. Jill was pleased to read that Zellary hated her from the start. Next came school starting and more bad things about Jill, then cheerleading. Then Jill came to the part about Taylor.
"Woah!" she said out loud and the whole library turned to stare at her.
"Sorry, I'm behind the times. Did you all know Geri left the Spice Girls? I didn't. What would one do without TeenBeat?" said Jill as a recovery.
Then the idea came to her. It was simple, yet it would work beautifully. Jill had finally found the ultimate way to ruin Zellary's life and make her's better at the same time. All it would take was three simple notes. She started writing at the inspiration.
Dear Zac,
I'm sorry to do this to you, but our relationship cannot go on any longer. When we read Taylor's journal together, I knew it was true. Taylor is the Hanson for me, not you. Finding out that he returned my love was one of the greatest things ever to happen to me. I think you'd be better off with Jill, someone who truly appreciates you.
Zel
One down, two to go.
Dear Zellary,
This can go on no longer. We can't go out anymore. I have found someone whom I love more than anything. That someone is Jill. The truth is, I've been going out with her for several weeks now. Sorry.
Zac
Last one.
Dear Taylor,
Since the first time I saw you, I knew we were ment to be together. I realized that I couldn't stand Zac's antics, and that I needed someone older and more mature. That someone is you, Taylor. I'm an old fashioned girl and cannot ask you to be my boyfriend, so you must do the asking. I'd respect you a lot more if you did it in person.
Love,
Zellary
Jill couldn't believe how brillant she was. All in one effort, she would break Zellary and Zac up, and embarras Taylor. Not that she had anything against Taylor, but Jill was the kind of person who took joy in the misfortune of others.
That night Jill went home and typed the letters on her computer. Unfortunately for Jill, she had her stationary in the printer and forgot to take it out. But at the same time, it was fortunate that Jill's stationary only had her name in microscopic print on the back corner of the paper, where it couldn't possibly be seen by the naked eye. Late that night she would put the letters in mailboxes, and she would have to hope that no one was awake at that hour.
