Chapter 20
"Yes!" called Sydney.
We could hear foot steps coming toward us. In less than thirty seconds he reached us.
"Sydney, I've been waiting so long to hold you in my arms," he said.
"And I've waited for this moment also," said Sydney in a sexy voice. She must have watched a lot of spy movies, because she knew exactly how to play the part of the beautiful sexy female agent.
"Tell me, Sydney, how do you picture me?"
"I picture you just as you are. Tall, dark, and unbelieveably sexy."
"Oh, Sydney!" he said and started kissing her pationately.
"Too fast," she said and pushed away.
"But you said..."
"Yes, and I meant it, but I'm the type of girl who likes to take it slow."
"Okay. I can respect that."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Anything for you."
"Are you the murderer?"
"Yes. I killed them all, and I enjoied every moment of it."
"I love a man with bravery. Commits punishable crimes of terrible natures and admits it with pride. Kiss me Kennith!"
He was startled. He didn't know that Sydney knew who he was. Then Sydney realized that she wasn't supposed to use his name yet and held her hand to her mouth.
"How on Earth did you know who I was?" Kennith asked.
"Someone as handsome as you is hard to forget," said Sydney.
"It's okay, Sydney. You can drop the act now," I said and steped out of the shadows.
"Hello, Natalie," he said.
"Give it up Kennith. We all know."
"Who's we?"
"Me, Lance, JC, and Sydney."
"My congratulations. You've solved the mystery. Are you going to make the official announcment?" asked Kennith.
"I think I just might," I said and opened the door to walk back into the ballroom. I walked to the DJ's booth and asked him for the microphone.
"Everyone, can I have your attention for one minute?" I started. Everyone looked at me. "Thank you. I'd just like to say that Lance and I have solved the mystery and that the murderer is the director of Hawthorn Mansion, Kennith McDan."
