SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium - a review by Daniel O.

GRAPHICS 9.8

In short the graphics will absolutely stun you. They are detailed, sharp, and slowdown free. Which makes for a fast, enjoyable game. The backgrounds impress so much it's really very hard to explain, but they are excellent. Then only reason I did not give a 10.0 is the fact that most of the characters look pasty white instead of having actual skin tones. but once you get into it, you won't care. The animations are numerous for each character and complete with taunts, you could hardly ask for more.

SOUND 8.5

The fx and music are pretty standard , but done well, and aren't annoying so, all in all very good.

CONTROL 10.0

Being able to easily control your fighter is absolutely essential in fighting games and it is done perfectly here. There is even an easy combo mode for beginners.

REPLAY 9.3

With modes, such as link, Olympics, and Tourney (the three main modes) there is PLENTY of replay involved. That coupled with the fact that you will want to play again, and you have a game that will last you awhile. Did i mention there are eight other characters to unlock, which takes numerous play throughs just to get one? Outstanding, lasting fun.

OVERALL 9.4

I am NOT a fighting game fan. But there was something about Snk vs Capcom that enthralled me to try it. SO when it arrived I opened it up and popped it into my NGPC only expecting a so-so game even though all the review i have read of it were glowing. I But this is an incredibly impressive game from all dimensions, trust me.
