With this deck, you should NEVER ATTACK ONCE during the fight. The key here is to make your opponent run out of cards. If your opponent can't draw a card, you win the game. Basically the cards in this deck are there for 3 reasons: (A) Making the opponent discard or get rid of cards; Andy, Joe, Billy, Chun-Li(a), Stifler, and Pester do this quite nicely. (B) Delaying the game so you have time to empty the opponent of cards; This includes cards that give you life [Nakoruru(c)], and cards that take out or nullify the effectiveness of opponents characters [Chun-Li, Akari(p)]. (C) Support cards; These cards help you use the Characters you already have out on the table again. The character card Rain and the action cards School's Out, Escape, and Peacemaker perform this function. There's nothing more annoying to an opponent than using a Nakoruru(c) card, then playing Escape the next turn on her and playing Nakoruru(c) again. 1000 HP gained in 2 turns!

The opponent will be attacking you while you try to whittle down his deck. When you put out cards that have the /\ (triangle) abilities, these should be the ones that block most incoming attacks (unless you're planning on bringing them back to your hand so you can use their ability again). Always, always try to leave the opponent with characters on his table that have 100 HP. For example, If he attacks with a 700 BP character, try to block him with a 600 BP character. This leaves basicly a useless card on their table, and also takes up one of their 3 spots. It doesn't matter if he's got a Krauser in his hand. If he's got 3 100 BP cards out on the table the Krauser is useless. This is a good strategy to employ no matter what deck you are using.

Now, it won't always work out nice like that. You sometimes will have to take damage, but don't panic. You have cards that will even the score. Sometimes You'll have to wait it out till the opponent has 3 cards on the table. Using a Chun-Li card at this point is devastating. You can just about let them all attack the rest of the game and they won't have enough to beat you with the life you'll be gaining from other cards in your deck.

BUILT AROUND JOE: One staple of this deck is the Joe card. You should always try to have a Joe card out at all times. The other 2 slots on your board should be used for blocking the opponents cards, but Joe should always plug away, taking 2 cards from the opponents pile and putting them in their discard deck every turn. The first turn you put him out, you can also feel free to use him as a blocker as long as you don't kill him. It should be the one and only time you use him for a blocker, unless it's absolutely necessary.

FREEING UP YOUR TABLE: In a deck like this, which relies heavily on playing cards with triangle abilities on almost every turn, you'll always want to make sure you have a spot on your table open every turn to place another card. There are a few cards in the deck which make this possible, and give you boosts while doing so. One of which is Demitri. He's great for getting rid of that useless card that just blocked a character, but is still alive with 100-200 BP. Unless it's a strong triangle ability card that you can return to your hand with an 'Escape' or 'School's Out' card, destroy it with Demitri's ability to make room for a better card. With Demitri's ability you'll also get to draw an additional card in the process.

JIN SAOTOME '2 FOR 1': Jin's a great card because you can block any 700 BP or lower character, then on the following turn use Jin's ability to destroy another Character. Right there, you're taking out 2 cards of the opponents for the price of one. It gives you a card advantage, and that's one one of the keys to this card game, whether you use a depletion deck or an all out offensive deck. This type of "2 for 1" strategy can apply to other cards in this deck as well, like Kagami. Have Kagami block a 600 BP or less character, then use his ability to gain 100 HP for every card you have in your hand (this also frees up a table spot, as discussed earlier). Keep this 2 for 1 idea in mind when looking at new cards to add to every deck, not just this one!

DREGS: One of the tricks you can do with this deck, because you'll be putting out a lot of cards due to the delaying nature of it, is with the 'Dregs' card. Through the course of a battle, you'll be using a lot of action cards. As your SP gets higher and higher, you'll eventually come across the Dregs card. Keep this no matter what. Near the end of the game, you might be dangerously low on life, and this card will save you. Use it when you have around 40-50 SP (believe me, with this deck it will be possible to get that high, and probably higher ammounts of SP). You could use your Grace, Pester, and stifler cards all over again in one giant turn. A couple words of caution though: Don't use Chun-li if you've commited to playing Dregs halfway through the game. Don't forget that Chun-li will reduce your SP to zero taking away the point of using Dregs in the first place. Also use any good action cards in your hand before you use Dregs so you get a chance to use them again when they're in your discard deck. Then play Dregs and let the fun begin! Another great card that you might want to substitute in the deck for use with this strategy is the action card, 'No Tricks'. Use it right before you use Dregs and all the AC cards in your deck will be moved to your discard pile, making it that much easier to pick out what cards you want to use. Remember, the more SP you have when you use this trick the better. Stall for as long as you can before pulling the trigger!

PSYCHE UP!: How do you get 30 free SP? Put 3 'Psyche Up!' cards (costs 0 SP to play, and gives you 5 SP) in your depletion deck. If you've used them all during the course of the game, then play Dregs, you'll get to use them all once again.

Above all, have patience with this deck. Experiment with it. I am constantly changing it, and have changed it a few times just writing this overview. Using this deck is a fresh challenge from just using characters that have higher BP numbers all the time. If you have any comments regarding this deck, feel free to email me at genedabean@yahoo.com .
