Nappa was Vegeta's bald comrade in many wars. He was also the Commander of the Saiyan Army. He was the one that destroyed Yamcha , Tien, Chou-zu, and Piccillo when they came to earth looking to conqure it and control the Dragon Balls. When goku arrived though he proved too weak and had his back broken by Goku. Then beacuse of being a disgrace to Vegeta. Vegeta Destroyed him.
