On a cold winter's day in December a girl who just by the looks of her you could tell that she had been thought hell and back. She watched as three casket one with her mother the other with her father and the final one with her Aunt were lowered into the ground. And out of her life for forever. No tears stained her face no sadness in her eyes only pain true and utter pain as well as anger. Her once happy and loving eyes turned to stone by tragedy and loss her heart would never feel again are so she thought. Cause in the back deep down in the bottom of her heart was hope hope for a better tomorrow hope for someone to love her and not get killed hope that one day she can get out of this nightmare and find herself again. Kate watched as everyone around her was crying but not her she couldn't she was finished with tears all she wanted no all she need was revenge for what had happened. She watches as three well dressed women all in black approached her. The first an African American woman with waist length raven black hair, and deep brown almond shaped eye she looked to be in her early twenty. The second and third were almost identical expected for the second had mid-back length black hair and piercing diamond shaped Emerald green. The third had brownish black hair and a mix of green and brown eyes which were also diamond in shaped. The fourth member of the team had blonde hair, and oval shaped pale blue eye. She watched as they first paid there respect's by placing one white rose on each casket. Then approaching Kate as she stood there looking around.
"I don't know what to say Kate all I can say is I'm sorry for this. Unfortunately thing's get worst from here" the first lady stated as they came next to her.
"What could possibly be worst Celeste can you answer me that. I've just lost what was left of my family so how can thing's get any worst" Kate shot back.
"I know but No you don't know you can't possibly know how I feel so don't even go there. You've never lost you're hole family cause of a f##k up the FBI did so no Celeste you can't know" Kate exclaimed in a very harsh tone that took everyone by surprise.
"OK so maybe we don't know how you feel anyway the thing is we have to move you somewhere else before James find's you. And he may also have had inside help as of yet, we don't know who but we're keeping up on thing's" the blonde stated to cool down the moment. Of course that only made thing's worst.
"What do you mean he had inside help dear Jesus how the hell did this happen. Are you telling me that there is crooked FBI agent's around us as well? Man what is this world coming to you can't even trust the Fed.'s" Kate exclaimed as her voice rose a notch as did her blood.
"I know there is something's messed up but we are trying to fix it and it will get straitened out I promise you that. In the mean time you have a new place to go and a new name as well as a new identity" the black hair woman responded.
"OK were to this time KC" Kate asked flippantly.
"Well this time you're new name is Kayla Cain you're parent's were killed in a plane crash you work as a masseur in Boulder, Colorado. You live in a small two-bedroom cabin about twenty miles from Boulder. You're the only living person in you're family also you're birthday is May 16 instead of May 7" KC explained as everyone walked down the small hill to a black Ford Lincoln.
"All most hit's home and why couldn't you put me somewhere warmer I don't know like by the beach" Kate complained.
"Well it's all we could find on such sort notices and beside you never know you might like it there I've been there and it's quit nice. Oh and the cabin is you're Uncle he left it to you in his will" Corrine answered.
"So is there any chance in hell that this bastard will be caught be fore I have to go" Kate asked as everyone got in.
"I'm afraid not Kate you have to leave this afternoon so say's the bureau. So you're on the next plane to Boulder which leave's at 12 o'clock" the brownish black hair woman answered.
"Well OK then Krissy how long do I have until we leave I don't have my watch with me right now" Kate asked.
"It's 10:05 now so by the time we get to you're house which I'll be at least ten fifteen minutes so I would say you have an hour maybe more" Krissy answered.
After the last questioned everyone fell silent, as the drive was long for traffic had been bad. Kate looked out the window as the cars moved slowly by remembering the last time she saw her Mom, Dad, and Aunt.
"Mom Dad Aunt Sarah were are you guy's" Kate called as she entered the house.
"We're in the living room dear" Katherine called out to her daughter.
"Oh what are you guy's doing in here," Kate asked while sitting down.
"Nothing why is there something wrong I thought you were going to be out with you're friend's to night" Steven replied sitting up.
"No nothing's wrong we just decided not to go out so here I am is that OK with you guy's" Kate responded.
"Fine with me what about you guy's" Sarah answered.
"Same here" Steven seconded.
Katherine only nodded as she got up to get some popcorn.
"Need some help Mom" Kate asked as she got up from the couch.
"No it's OK I've got it" Katherine replied.
"All right I'm going to go change into something more comfortable be right back" Kate exclaimed as she walked up stair to her room.
Looking around she found her tank top and short she normally wore to bed walking into the adjacent bathroom to get dressed. She heard a strange noise coming from down stair quickly running to the stair. The quietly peeked around the corner to see four men she didn't know with guns pointed at her family. She watched as the taller man asked her father for all the money and jewelry Steven would comply and give them what they wanted. He even went as far as to give them his and Katherine's car keys. All he was worried about was that they didn't find Kate unfortunately things turned out badly instead of the men just taking the stuff and leaving the shorter man shot Sarah first right in the heart. She fell to the ground and Kate had to struggle not to scream or say anything all she could do was stand there and watch as her family was gunned down. The last to fall was her mother unfortunately James the leader of the group had seen Kate he enjoyed watching her face all the emotion's that crossed it. As he was walking out of the door Kate come slowly walking down the step's with the gun her father had brought only for sport. She shot out hitting two for the men square in the back they fell slowly the last one turned quickly shooting at Kate but missing her the cop's had got him. But the leader that was the one they were after he was the one who had killed countless lives and she could give him to them. Kate ran over to her mother and father who had fallen near one another. She watched as Katherine's eyes fluttered open and tried to focus on her daughter.
"Honey are you OK please tell me you're OK" Katherine asked all most pleadingly.
"Yes Mama I'm fine and so will you please don't leave me Mama please don't" Kate cried as she rocked her mother back and forth.
"It's… OK…. Kate don't worry about me I'll be going to a better place just remember we love you baby girl never forget that Please Kate never. I…. I…. Love you honey good… good bye" Katherine manger's to get out then her eyes closed forever.
Kate just sat there crying and promising that she would one day get the person whom did this to her family. Over the next few day's things went quickly for Kate she had to plan not one but three funeral she had already lost her Grandparent's her Grandmother to Aids her Grandfather to a car accident. She was truly alone she never had any brother's or sister's being an only child was great but sometimes hard. Now being all alone in the world scared and worried her at the same time yet, she vowed never to let love in and never to shed another tear ever.
When the car stopped Kate got out and went to pack walking inside all the blood that was once everywhere was cleaned up she truly felt alone. As she walked though the house wondering what to take with her. She finally decided on pictures, her clothes, and a few other thing's that wouldn't be hard to carry. Kate was ready on time and back outside she spared one last look at the house which she had called home of almost twenty year's. Sighing she handing the driver her thing's and watched as Krissy, then KC Corrine and last Celeste got in with Kate in last. Closing the door was almost like she was closing the door on her past one that would forever haunt her.
