Character and Personality

The following paragraphs concern the study of GENEVIEVE

FOWLER's personality, as induced by the positions of the planets and

Rising sign. Some of the character traits mentioned may seem

completely contradictory and incompatible. This is because the

rough-hewn personality is a rarity. Usually, individuals are made up of

a subtle orchestration of many different tones or aspects. However,

serious introspection or detailed analysis should make it possible to

distinguish the opposing or diverging images comprising GENEVIEVE

FOWLER's overall character, and perhaps, in time, find the best and

most harmonious way to integrate them.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER lives in the here-and-now, immediately obeying her

impulses. She is guided by a fire burning within her. She rarely heeds the

warnings of reflection and reason; instead, she listens to her instincts, as if her

unconscious were perpetually emerging. This is the source of her spontaneity

and passion. Because she herself is continually being born, she champions all

phenomena symbolic of birth: she enjoys breaking ground, beginning, clearing.

She has little interest for pursuing the new ideas she brought into being,

because her inner flame is always urging her to move on quickly to the next

innovation. She is not a good manager. GENEVIEVE FOWLER is

straightforward. When she commits herself, she does so with mind, body, and

soul. Restraint and moderation are concepts which are totally foreign to her,

because she lives by the fullness of her instinct, the force of her desire.

Due to her energetic temperament, her determination immediately invents the

action necessary to fulfill her desires. It goes without saying that her attitude

engenders certain risks. Sometimes her impetuousness, or a lack of maturity

or patience, or a keen appetite for experience leads GENEVIEVE FOWLER

into a blind alley. But risk is a part of her life. Since her fervor is immune to

calculation, second thoughts, and cunning, she has no fear. She is the type of

heroine whose courageous deeds are difficult to distinguish from acts of

bravado or of sheer foolhardiness. GENEVIEVE FOWLER's top priority is to

take action, immediately. Delay is torture to her. She is in a hurry to live, to take

her urges and impulses to their ultimate conclusion, even though her lack of

forethought may actually make her goal take longer to accomplish. She rarely

evaluates obstacles objectively: instead, she dashes into the fray, bristling with

determination, oblivious to the size or scope of the difficulties. She rides home

triumphantly, whether she has battered her head against a brick wall or met no

resistance whatsoever. But she has a true heroine's courage and vitality: she is

undaunted by challenges and real danger, to the surprise of outside observers.

Like everyone, GENEVIEVE FOWLER sometimes experiences failure. But

she never despairs or becomes overly discouraged by it; it never overcomes

her. She doesn't see it as a tragedy; she just figures she missed that time, but

next time, she won't. In fact, she'll muster even more strength and power for the

next attack, since she is convinced she can succeed. GENEVIEVE FOWLER

sometimes has problems finishing something she has started. Once the

glamour of the initial urge and enthusiasm is dulled, she loses her some of her

potency, and finds herself faced with a sluggish material reality which does not

always inspire her. This failing can sometimes sniggle at her, so it is important

for her to tackle short-term tasks only. Of course, you will have recognized all of

the above qualities as being the stuff of which great leaders are made. Sharing

her enthusiasm and drive, and delegating the follow-up tasks to more patient

assistants, she can accomplish amazing things. Stirred by all the stimuli of the

outside world, this animal is indifferent to nothing.

As a result, her emotionalism can sometimes trouble or destabilize her.

Moreover, she is eternally impassioned. And since passion is by definition

uncontrollable, once it is kindled it is either consumed or consuming. The fire

will either fuel her, and drive her along, or sputter in frustration. She should be

aware of her penchant for excess. If she is subject to a negative passion, she

can be extremely unpleasant to live with: tactless, irritable, heedless to

everything except her impulses, which are not always reasonable. She must

channel her energy in positive directions. GENEVIEVE FOWLER's vigor is

only an outer armor. Although she may seem to embody strength itself, full of

self-assurance and courage, she has a vulnerable underbelly: her inner self. As

a result, the quality of her emotional relationships has an important impact on

her overall well-being. GENEVIEVE FOWLER should take the time to get a

good education. It will counteract her tendency to oversimplify. People and

things are more complex than she can imagine, and her intellectual efforts will

help her understand them.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER needs movement. She is a talented communicator.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is attentive to work and profit. She will probably be

financially comfortable all her life.

At the time of GENEVIEVE FOWLER's birth, the Sun and rising sign

were following a path through the constellation of Aries, a FIRE sign.

This configuration promises a certain cohesion for her personality. A

summary of the various descriptive terms mentioned earlier sketch out

a quick portrait of GENEVIEVE FOWLER's personality. The following

key words can distill the essence of her character:

Individualism - Vitality and passion - Pugnacity - Impatience - Impetuosity -

Enterprise - Innovation.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER's temperament is combative by nature; governed by a

need to exteriorize her energies, both physical and mental. Generally, her

ardent impulsiveness and contagious enthusiasm are apt to command, and

strong enough to shatter any resistance. Her open mind, capable of insights on

multiple levels, empowers her to invent and lead, to inspire and command.

Most at home in the realm of idealism, her innocence in the realm of material

exploitation may make her something of a daredevil. Her major resource, a

massive and stubborn will, is whole, optimistic, and constructive; it enables her

to improvise, to face risk boldly and confidently, and to create. Her sensitivity is

lively and spontaneous, generous and noble. Her kind-heartedness and

Promethean spirit predispose her to spectacular deeds; to righteousness,

rebellion against dogma, and outrage at any source of unfairness, injustice, or

weakness. She is fully herself when she is embarking on an adventure in life.

Born in the three-and-one-half days after the Full Moon rose, GENEVIEVE

FOWLER is said to be a " Full Moon " lunar type. This " soli-lunar "

configuration gives her an objective, rational, and lucid character. However,

since the Moon is opposite the Sun at the time of the Full Moon, her objective

tendencies are balanced by a more idealistic penchant. Because the forces

pull her in two different ways - one towards dreams, the other towards reality -

she may be aware of some inner contradictions which are causing practical

and social difficulties for her. At times, she is too demanding of herself or

others, comparing them to an ideal, whereas at others, she is too nonchalant

and indulgent about life. She vacillates between two poles. One is elitist, and

almost snobbish; the other is more earthy, and perhaps vulgar or brutal at

times. The result is a multi-faceted self. Generally speaking, her monthly

energy flow is strongest at the time of the Full Moon. She would be wise to

schedule intensive work phases at that time, as well as ambitious and

demanding projects.

Warm and affable, GENEVIEVE FOWLER is animated by honesty and

generosity. Due to the solar dominant of her birth chart, her father (or a man

who served as a father figure, possibly a teacher) influenced her strongly and

imprinted her with the positive values which are now at the core of her being.

However, her perception and comprehension of the world are filtered through

an innate ability for artistic discrimination: a sense of aesthetics. For her, "

beauty " is " truth " - and not vice-versa. Style and harmony, and the skills

involved with putting things on display, such as artistic representation, light,

and transparence, are concepts which come naturally to her, and she makes

use of them in her life.

Temperament

The graph below reveals the various influences on GENEVIEVE

FOWLER's nature in relation to the percentage value of each element.

These values were calculated according to the number of planets and

the hierarchical position of each one (dominant, luminary, etc.). The

basic personality tendencies as described here will no doubt be

counteracted to some degree by the environmental, psychological, or

emotional needs outlined in the next chapter. Nevertheless, they form

the roots of her psyche, anchoring it as it grows and develops.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER experiences her inner life as a process of growth and

maturation, nurtured by her involvement with others and the positive and

negative encounters this generates.

Because GENEVIEVE FOWLER tends to be centered on herself and her own

personal development, she may not necessarily seek contact with others. She

tends to be reluctant to team up with other people in any way. An individualist,

she attempts to free herself from any outside influence; in fact, she is eager to

leave her personal imprint on the world around her. Often, due to her lack of

perspective in relation to other people, she rebuffs their help and cooperation

on her projects. It is only by lying on herself, working and acting alone, that she

can accomplish her goals and ambitions.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER's uppermost concern is her personal, subjective

interest. Because the development of her personal identity requires great

individual freedom of action, she tries to free herself from outer restraints and

limitations. Psychologically self-centered, she remains fairly detached from the

social world; she reduces such commitments to the strict minimum.

Individualistic and egocentric, she derives her feelings of inner security from

her ability to command her will and handle her personal involvement's freely

and openly.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER needs to assert her originality. She is individualistic

and independent, and lives life according to her own rules. People and things

matter to her only insofar as they relate to her, and she ignores or disregards

any annoyances she may encounter. Her passions are lively and ardent, and

she truly loves to give. She is endowed with great authenticity, and can be

quite generous, as long as she is aware that others admire her.

The numerous contradictions and tensions which are a recurrent feature of

GENEVIEVE FOWLER's astral theme balance each other out and endow her

with a stable, well-tempered character, after all. Indeed, they are especially

likely to protect her from unsolvable frustrations and, in terms of reality, will

enable her to acquire a certain social and professional success without too

much effort on her part. At that point, she must be careful not to take on too

many responsibilities. Her confidence in her ability to accomplish things may

make her spread herself too thin.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER lives chiefly in the moment and expresses her

energies immediately, tempered by the circumstances. Always on the move,

she is unconsciously seeking a point of stability and balance which eludes her.

The skills she displays as a mover and doer, as a leader, are animated by

basic feelings of insecurity. As a result, at some times in her life, her ambition

may overpower her emotions.

Psychological Analysis

The following psychological study is a " blind " analysis which cannot

take into consideration factors proper to GENEVIEVE FOWLER's social

background or education. Nevertheless, it describes the basic

structure and dynamic of her psyche as the result of an interplay of

various influences; that is, without confining it to certain categories or

arbitrarily putting a label on it. Certain contradictions may appear, but

they are an integral part of the paradoxes and ambivalence of her

nature. It is impossible for us to predict which tendency will win out:

that will depend on GENEVIEVE FOWLER's decision.

Consciousness and The Ideal of Self:

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is searching for stability; she wants to find a firm,

unchanging structure for her life. But her efforts to achieve this ideal are often

vain, because unconsciously, she is also inhabited by the opposite desire.

Every time she reaches what she believes to be a good balance, she realizes

she wants something entirely different. She should become aware that the

concepts of stability and balance are difficult to apply to life. By definition, life is

movement, change, and perpetual instability.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER has a taste for luxury and magnificence, for a dazzling

social life and a distinguished career. When things are going well for her, she

tends to think of herself as the center of the universe, an attitude which those

close to her do not always appreciate. Although she is quite likely to succeed

in her ambition to become wealthy and popular, and lead a remarkable life in

the outer world, her lack of moderation and overweening self-confidence

expose her to some danger. Her exaggerated optimism could create

difficulties for her by causing her to make errors in judgment.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is an ardent free thinker and individualist who is

convinced that her most precious basic values are freedom and

independence. She has thrown off what she perceives as the burden of the

convention and customs of her social class and adopted an innovative lifestyle.

Her passionate convictions, bordering on proselytism, sometimes trouble her

relationships, as she may be an uncompromising, authoritarian, and arrogant

partner. She should learn to recognize her own limitations and accept the

responsibilities she has to other people, or she is liable to find herself

continually embroiled in conflicting relationships. The roots of her somewhat

extreme behavior probably lie in her relationship with her father or her teachers

in childhood and adolescence. For one reason or another, GENEVIEVE

FOWLER may have rejected the paternal image or refused to identify with her

father and adopt her as a behavioral model, in the same way as she now

refuses to adopt any values related to convention, tradition, or widespread

usage. In every important life decision she makes as an adult, she is forced to

rely on herself to elaborate the appropriate behavior, and the limits she must

impose on her desires in relation to reality and the Law.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER has a profound and fertile inner life and a prolific

imagination, but her energy resources are not always sufficient to follow

through on and accomplish her multitude of dreams. She tends to live in

osmosis with her environment, and effort and action take a heavy toll on her.

Usually, she understands phenomena and events intuitively, without really

making any effort; so she is not in the habit of disciplining or shaping her

thought processes. Like her thoughts, her personality is rather amorphous and

disorganized. As a result of this lack of structure, she may have some trouble

asserting her individuality and making some personal contribution to society

through her career. Her tendency to shut out reality and dream impossible

dreams, like her refusal of responsibility and duty, may be a source of some

difficulty for her.

Adaptation and Sensitivity:

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is winning and attractive. She has an appetite for

intense emotional experiences, especially in terms of her relations with the

opposite sex. Enjoying the power of her personal appeal, she easily controls

her emotions and only rarely reveals the true depth of her feeling. Because her

instincts take precedence over her sensitivity, she is capable of becoming

jealous, possessive, and even rather harsh, without meaning to. More of a flirt

than a voluptuary, she is attentive to desire. As a result, her love life will

sometimes be casual and complicated.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER maintains strong ties with her past, and it often seems

difficult for her to open her heart to new people. Her love affairs often remain

shallow and superficial, because her lust and sensual desire rarely turn into a

need to understand, protect, and care for the other. Moreover, it is difficult for

her to meet men who combine the masculine ideals of the tender father and

the great lover.

Love and Sensuality:

GENEVIEVE FOWLER has a sensual, affectionate, and voluptuous nature

which is sensitive to physical attraction. This type of sensitivity, combined with

her productive urges, may be expressed in an artistic form. As for her feelings,

they are usually slow to take root. But once GENEVIEVE FOWLER is

conquered by love, she forms a deep and lasting bond. Although she is loyal,

she may also display a tendency to be somewhat possessive.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER's birth chart indicates an emotional function which is

usually expressed carefully and reasonably. Distrustful of her emotional urges

and somewhat wary of her feelings, GENEVIEVE FOWLER tries to rid herself

of all partiality, and tries to get some perspective and distance before making

an emotional commitment.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is not really comfortable with herself. Her

aggressiveness is an obstacle to her relationships, especially with the other

sex; causing clashes and conflicts almost against her will. Her instincts

predominate over her mind and her senses supersede or distort her feelings,

so her relationships are usually abrupt. She really needs to find an activity

which could channel her enormous potential.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER's emotions are fleeting and transitory, and she is

extremely curious about sexuality. As a partner in a relationship, she manages

to obtain what she wants without committing herself, and always succeeds in

being forgiven for her mistakes or infidelities. Her companion will no doubt be

a devoted man, and, although she may neglect him occasionally, she will do it

kindly and graciously.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER has the fiery, importunate nature of a fervent lover.

Indeed, affairs of the heart are one of her main purposes in life. Her personal

charm and magnetism give her nearly irresistible powers of seduction, and

nearly every one of her well-aimed attempts at conquest leads to the fulfillment

and satisfaction of her desires. Due to her impulsiveness and impatience to

initiate new encounters, her approach to members of the other sex may

sometimes lack tact and delicacy.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is hypersensitive, and tends to relive the anxieties,

apprehensions, and romantic absolutes of her first love relationships, which

occurred around the ages of 13-14 years or 20-21 years. She is exquisitely

thin-skinned, almost agonizingly so, but almost completely barricaded behind a

layer of aloofness and chill; her relationship aspirations are both impossible to

attain and despotically inclined. She will not settle for anything less than eternal

commitment, total harmony, and absolute loyalty. This rather excessive

demand is the sign of an emotional injury and an occasional inability to

express her romantic feelings and engage herself in experience. GENEVIEVE

FOWLER is sometimes presumed to be emotionless and cold, even by those

close to her. She usually hides her emotional reactions or does not even allow

them to reach the level of her consciousness, in an effort to protect her

sensitivity, which she sees as her weak point. She is fairly vulnerable, even in

the intimacy of a stable and established relationship, and constantly needs

reassurance. Usually, she will disguise her strong feelings as a kind of

possessiveness or even jealousy. Certain misfortunes may arouse a negative

emotional state inside her, and she feels unworthy of the love which is lavished

on her. This psychological prohibition which rules over all of her desires and

affects should loosen with the passage of time; likewise, her fear of

approaching and accosting the other will diminish. As a result, the second part

of her romantic life will be more rewarding. In any case, if she wants to

experience a harmonious love relationship and gratify herself emotionally, the

defense mechanisms she has elaborated to make herself inaccessible to

others will have to be dismantled. Any profound relationship will also require

that she learn how to forget herself occasionally in the other.

From the outside, GENEVIEVE FOWLER seems to be detached and aloof,

but on the inside she is an extremely complex individual, full of contradictions.

Because she sometimes feels vulnerable emotionally, she tries to control not

only her own feelings and urges, but may also strive to manipulate those of her

partners. She aspires to a profound and enduring spiritual unity, but at the

same time, the idea of abandoning herself and yielding to the other terrifies her

completely. This anguish may be a source of rather extreme behavior patterns

and a somewhat selfish attitude which could damage the relationship.

Because she is guarded and somewhat secretive, she tends to be suspicious

and is especially uneasy about spontaneous intimacy, although she is

fascinated by sexuality. Within the privacy of the couple, she will not express

her feelings unless she is subject to some tension. Life may be peppered with

frequent crises and feuds, arguments and spats which usually act as erotic

provocation. This derivation of eroticism from anxiety tends to be one of the

fundamental characteristics of GENEVIEVE FOWLER's emotional and sexual

functioning. As a result, she is likely to be attracted by stormy and complicated

relationships.

Mental and Intellect:

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is an intuitive thinker. She does not reason things out

through a long, articulate, logical discourse; instead, she seizes the visions or

insights that spontaneously flash into her consciousness. She thus has a form

of immediate knowledge of various phenomena which is based neither on

reasoning nor on any elaborate thought process or method. As a result, if

GENEVIEVE FOWLER is an extrovert, she will possess an inventive,

innovative spirit gifted for improvisation. If she is an introvert, her mind will be

an abundant source of personal inner truths.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER expresses her thoughts and ideas carefully, but with a

relative lack of spontaneity. She is rather introverted and looks inside herself

for the solutions to the problems she encounters in life. Because she tends to

mistrust customary thought patterns, her opinion is usually highly personal.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER's intellectual faculties and wit are sometimes slowed

down because they are turned inward. Because she tends to be oriented

towards herself, she rarely tries to communicate with others for the simple

pleasure of doing so. Indeed, she sometimes feels misunderstood. Moreover,

it seems difficult to her to express the complexity of her inner perceptions.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER sometimes makes mistakes in judgment, and her

understanding of things is not always in tune with social realities or prevailing

opinion. Her judgments tend to be hasty; her decisions are reckless. Moreover,

she tends to overestimate her abilities, and usually aims higher than she can

reach. Once an enterprise or project is underway, she may try to avoid

obstacles by dodging certain duties. Because her vision of the world differs

somewhat from social realities, she should be extremely careful and

scrupulous in regard to legal matters, in order to avoid any complications of

that type. She is sometimes slightly dishonest in her relations; she may break

promises or attempt to duck responsibility. However, she should realize that

such conduct towards other people is also a form of unconscious self-loathing.

If she continues to behave in such a way, she is exposing herself to the same

lack of sincerity from her partners.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER does not always have a clear and precise vision of

what she is capable of doing, or of what she really wants to do. She is ready to

commit herself to ideals and causes which she appreciates personally, but the

people around her sometimes disapprove of or scoff at these schemes. As a

result, some of the people close to her criticize her for being unrealistic,

because they do not understand her deepest motivations. Because her

initiatives or commitments to action require an extremely personal approach,

she may hesitate for a relatively long time before she finds a field she feels is

worthy of her involvement. She is especially intrigued by the realm of the

unknown, the mysterious, and the strange, and is likely to engage in activities

which are highly unconventional. Nevertheless, she must be careful not to set in

motion forces which will escape her control. Because she tends to be inspired

by humanitarian ideals, she may find that she has a calling for social work or

helping others. Moreover, she might satisfy her craving for the fantastic by

devoting herself to such arts as theater, photography, or film.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER's behavior and attitude are unique. She is sometimes

excessive, and tends to be short-tempered; she may quickly become

aggressive if she encounters the slightest opposition or resistance.

Determined and obstinate in the pursuit of her goals, she is sometimes

disappointed when she realizes that the object of her desire no longer interests

her once she has attained it. Because her will mingles with her personal

desire, she tends to be motivated by a quest for her own personal satisfaction,

and sometimes finds it difficult to commit herself to activities which do not

concern her personally.

she may be aware of some inner contradictions which are causing practical

and social difficulties for her.

GENEVIEVE FOWLER has a great deal of intuition, but sometimes has

problems organizing her thought processes and making an intellectual

commitment. The concepts of boundary and structure are inimical to her mind,

which is open and all-encompassing, premonitory and web-like. Her thoughts

may be verbally indeterminate, vague, and ill defined. She tends to understand

or sense things globally, without always noticing their component parts: usually,

she can't see the trees for the forest. In daily life, although her perceptions are

lively and subtle, she may display a kind of absent-mindedness, out of a fear of

annoying people with her shrewdness or of fighting to assert herself. Her

imagination sometimes escapes from the confines of logic, cringing from a

confrontation with reality. This unwillingness to face the real world may cause

problems for her .....

At this point, I want to stop.  Impulsive?  Aggressiveness?  I have no idea who this report is talking about. And my

unwillingness to face the real world may have a little to do with the fact that I don't actually, live in it...you know...per se.

My training in scepticism leaves me fairly agnostic about all of this zodiac stuff--but Vixen says this really is how I am.  Give

or take a few observations.  I include it to let my readers draw their own conclusions.
