Cartoon and Movie Charecter Themed Parties!!!
Theme
This is a theme that can go for just about any "hot"cartoon or movie that is out there at any present time that your child happens to like.
If yours are like mine than it changes constantly. At present time the favortie cartoons would be Rugrats,Blue's Clues, Digimon,Pokemon, Toy Soldiers, etc.
Barbie fits in to this category all the time as she is an endless classic. This will be the easiest type of party to plan probably as the marketing people for these
cartoons and shows make sure that everything is out there saturating the market - and easily accessible for you!
Menu Ideas
There are plenty of places that have cake molds in these shapes also and the grocery stores make sure that they have the stuff to make these themed cakes also. Something instead of cake - individual cupcakes with the cake toppers on them individually.
You can have foods that go along with the show or movie. A lot of these cartoon charecters have "favorite foods". If you kno wwhat they are, then make the same things, or something that resembles it and call it the
same thing. If you don't know what the charecters favorite foods are then you can ask your child - chances are they know what it is! You can also supply foods that are the charecter's favorite color. For Blue's Clues you can try and
find some blue colored food. You get the idea.
Decorations
Decorations should be a cinch. You can get plates, napkins, cups, balloons and just about everything else to cover the party "area" completely. Don't forget streamers, possibly confetti
(depending on if it is at your house and you want to vacume those things up for months). You can make special paw prints for Blue's Clues cut out of blue construction paper or anything like that.
There are also places that have huge banners with this stuff.
Games
Once again- the stores have plenty of games for these themed parties. I told you this would be the easiest party! One thing you can do for Blues Clues Parties is to - yep you guessed it, try to find all of Blue's Clues! What a great idea! You can even make up a
"Thinking Chair" for the guest of honor to try and figure out the clues. (Or they have inflatable ones in the toy department in most stores.)
You can have a pinata there. Most stores have the popular action figures and cartoon charecters as pinatas.
Treasure Hunt - You can send the kids on a treasure hunt for their goodies that would normally go in their goodie bags.
