Season 7

7x01 Hungry

An unusual murder; a man's brain that has been removed through one small hole, brings Mulder and Scully to investigate. Shown through the monster's eyes, you see that Rob Roberts is an average guy but with a huge problem. He tries to control his hunger as best as he can, with diet pills and self-motivation tapes, but as hard as he tries, the hunger always gets to him. His hunger is for human brains. He goes to a pycharist and then goes to an over-eaters meeting. In the end, he shows Mindy, the pycharist, his true face, thinking she will react in terror. She only says, "You poor man." He dies after being shot by Mulder when he goes to attack him. Episode Name Meaning: Refers to Rob Roberts's hunger for human brains. Yummy. . . Aired: 11/21/99

7x05 Millennium

A woman complains that her husband didn't leave a suicide note while attending his funeral. He was an FBI agent. After she and the rest leave, a man walks from the shadows toward the coffin. He opens it and stares at the man. He then begins to exchange clothing with the body. Then he puts a cell phone in his coffin. Eight days later, he is sitting in his truck by a cementary where the dead man was buried. He is reciting something to himself when all of a sudden, the cell phone rings. He walks out of the truck with a shovel. The next day Mulder and Scully go to investigate. They find marks that are thought to be made from someone's fingers on the inside of the coffin. They then go to see Frank Black(Lance Henriksen, Millennium) for information. There have been already four suicides of men who were in the Millennium group. They believed that they could be resurected to make an armangedon. At first, Black refuses and Scully finds out that it's because he is afraid to lose custody of his daughter. Later he does agree, only to discover that they were in fact resurected by the man. Scully and Mulder are both attacked by corpses before the show's over. At the end the world is safe from harm as the clock strikes 12:00am. Mulder and Scully are watching the new year ring in on tv while Dick Clark counts down. As the new year song begns to play, Mulder and Scully see a couple kissing on tv. Mulder stares at her and when she catches his glance, he kisses her. "...it lasts a bit longer than a kiss between two friends.", a quote from the complete summary on the offical website. Episode Name Meaning: Refers to the approaching Millennium(the episode takes place a few days before 1/1/00), unscientifically of course, since the Millennium didn't begin until 01/01/01. It also refers to Chris Carter's other show, 'Millennium', whose main character, Frank Black, crossed over for this episode. Aired: 11/28/99

7x06 Rush

In the beginning, we see Tony Reed driving into the woods at night. There is a sign that says "No Trespassing". He ignores it and drives on. He meets two other teens, Max Harden and Chastity Raines. Chastity is worried about letting Tony on in their little secret but Max, to reassure her, makes Tony swear never to tell what happens in the woods that night. Tony does. Soon, a police car is seen driving up to the three teens. Tony turns to look and when he looks back, the other two teens are gone. Deputy Foster gets out of his car and asks Tony why he's on private property. After answering, the deputy goes to use his car radio. We see a blur and then hear a thud like noise. Tony goes to check on the deputy and finds him dead. Later, Mulder and Scully look at the body. It has been determined that the deputy was hit in the back of the head with a flashlight, so hard that his glasses shattered. They question Tony, who denies knowing anything. They then go to the high school and question Chastity. Before she can speak, Max intervenes. Mulder tells Scully that Max is Sheriff Harden's son, who thinks Tony is guilty. Scully's cell phone rings. She tells Mulder that the murder weapon has been stolen. They go and review the security tape. Mulder slows the tape and notices a blur of colors that matches the school's colors: purple and gold. Max kills his school teacher, Mr. Babbitt, because he flunks him for cheating on a science exam. Max had come in with one minute left of class, picked up the answer sheet, and filled in all the circles correctly, though Mr. Babbitt says it was cheating. Max was sent to the hospital from exhaustion. Mulder and Scully go to see him and Scully looks at his medical charts while there. She finds signs of withdrawal and physical damage that football players and race car drivers would have. Tony sneaks out of his house and follows Chastity into the woods. He steps into a cave but she isn't there. Suddenly, his body starts to spasm. Meanwhile, Chastity helps Max get out of the hospital. She takes him back to the cave so he can get another dose of "rush". She is shocked to see Tony there. He wants to turn Max in and she tells him he's out of the hospital. Max goes home and admits to his father that he killed both the deputy and his teacher. He is about to kill his father when Tony stops him. They race each other back to the cave. Max arrives first and then Tony. They start to fight and Chastity kills Max by shooting him. She tells Tony she can't live without the "rush" and, since it has slowed because of the cave, allows the bullet to hit her. Tony is taken to the hospital. Mulder tells Scully that the cave was sealed with concrete. Tony stares at the clock wall. The minute hand goes back one and then jumps ahead two. Episode Name Meaning: Refers to the 'rush' the teenagers get from the cave. Aired: 12/5/99
