Value Yourself
If you put a small
value on yourself,
rest assured that the world will not raise your
price.
Far too many people
are LOOKING for the right person,
instead of trying to BE the right
person.
Follow your bliss
and don't be afraid,
and doors will open where you never even knew they
existed.
Sometimes you have
to leave the city of your comfort
and go into the wilderness of your
intuition.
What you will discover will be wonderful.
What
you will discover will be yourself.
Even if you're on
the right track,
you'll get run over if you just stand there.
There are two kinds
of people in the world:
those who walk into a room and say, "There you are,"
and those who walk into a room and say, "Here I am!"
It's true we can't
do everything at once,
but we can do SOMETHING at once.
Always be a
first-rate version of yourself,
instead of a second-rate version of somebody
else.
Make a true
estimate of your own ability.
Then raise it 10%.
The time is always
right
to do what is right.
Shoot for the moon.
Even if you
miss, you will land among the stars!
Hopefully
this has motivated you.
You are now ready to tackle any problem
that
might come your way!
Have a terrific
day!
ATTITUDE
by Charles Swindoll
The longer I live,
the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more
important than facts. It is more important than the
past, than
education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than
successes,
than what other people think or say or do. It is more important
than
appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company, a
church, and a home. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice
everyday
regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We
cannot change our
past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a
certain way. We
cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do
is play on the one
string we have, and that is our ATTITUDE. I am
convinced that life is 10
percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I
react to it.
Food For Thought
Breakthroughs are spiritual miracles.
Don't forget to forget yourself.
Receive compassion; spread compassion.
Think about who you want to become.
An honest answer requires an honest question.
Don't preserve the past, but persevere for your future.
Fill your life with - life!
Nothing is Impossible!
There's no excuse for excuses.
Beauty is an inside job.
Joy is available to you today.
The less self-protective you are, the more passionate you become.
Asking for healing is not the same as wanting it.
Shame hurts; love heals.
Refresh your spirit by refreshing someone else's.
Most of what really matters can't be measured in pounds.
Self-control can't be coerced; it has to be chosen.
I am wonderfully made!
Getting Thin is not the key to getting happy.
The best way to gain energy is to spend it in the right way.
Don't let the past trip your present.
Feel the power within.

Hold On
Wilson Phillips
I know this
pain
Why do lock yourself up in these chains?
No one can change your life
except for you
Don't ever let anyone step all over you
Just open your
heart and your mind
Is it really fair to feel this way inside?
Chorus:
Some day
somebody's gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then
baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don't you
know?
Don't you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you
hold on for one more day
Can you hold on for one more day
Things'll go
your way
Hold on for one more day
You could
sustain
Or are you comfortable with the pain?
You've got no one to blame
for your unhappiness
You got yourself into your own mess
Lettin' your
worries pass you by
Don't you think it's worth your time
To change your
mind?
(Chorus)
I know that there is
pain
But you hold on for one more day and
Break free the chains
Yeah I
know that there is pain
But you hold on for one more day and you
Break
free, break from the chains
Some day somebody's
gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then baby are you
going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don't you know?
Don't
you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one
more day yeah
If you hold on
Don't you know things
can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day,
If
you hold on
Can you hold on
Hold on baby
Won't you tell me now
Hold
on for one more day 'Cause
It's gonna go your way
Don't you know things
can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
Can't
you change it this time
Make up your
mind
Hold on
Hold on
Baby hold on
I Hope
You
Dance
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill
to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for
granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still
feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope
one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never
settle for the path of least resistance
Livin' might mean takin' chances but
they're worth takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin',
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to
sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing
glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I
hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who
wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone.)
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll
give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
Dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you
dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance..
(Time is a wheel in
constant motion always rolling us along
Tell me who wants to look back on
their years
and wonder where those years have gone)
The Invitation
by Oriah Mountain Dreamer
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living
I want to
know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's
longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are
I want to know if you
will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dreams
for the
adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets
are squaring your
moon...
I want to know if you have touched
the center of your own
sorrow
if you have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become
shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your
own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if
you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of
your
fingers and toes
without cautioning us to
be careful
be
realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story
you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to
yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray
your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not
pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its
presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and
mine
and still stand on the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of
the full moon,
"Yes."
It doesn't interest me
to know where you live
or how
much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after a night of
grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be
done
to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know
or how you came to be
here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the center of the fire
with
me
and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom
you have
studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else
falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if
you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.
Our Deepest Fear
by Marianne Williamson
- an excerpt from the book,
A Return To Love:
Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
. Our deepest
fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our
darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a
child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing
enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around
you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make
manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us;
it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own
fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

My Declaration of Self-Esteem
by Virginia
Satir
I AM ME
In all the world, there is no one else exactly like
me
Everything that comes out of me is authentically me
Because I alone
chose it - I own everything about me
My body, my feelings, my mouth, my
voice, all my actions,
Whether they be to others or to myself - I own my
fanatasies,
My dreams, my hopes, my fears - I own all my triumphs
and
Successes, all my failures and mistakes Because I own all of
Me, I
can become intimately acquainted with me - by so doing
I can love me and be
friendly with me in all my parts - I know
There are aspects about myself that
puzzle me, and other
Aspects that I do not know - but as long as I
am
Friendly and loving to myself, I can courageously
And hopefully look
for solutions to the puzzles
And for ways to find out more about me - However
I
Look and sound, whatever I say and do, and whatever
I think and feel at
a given moment in time is authentically
Me - If later some parts of how I
looked, sounded, thought
And felt turn out to be unfitting, I can discard
that which is
Unfitting, keep the rest, and invent something new for
that
Which I discarded - I can see, hear, feel, think, say, and do
I have
the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be
Productive to make sense
and order out of the world of
People and things outside of me - I own me, and
therefore I can engineer me - I am me and
I AM OKAY
