A Dreamcatcher X Angel Pup

Years ago, we cared for a 6 month old Great Pyr for about 4 months. My husband was heartbroken when he left and the breed became his second love. But we were already parents to an Old English Sheepdog and didn't rush to add another big dog to the family. In 2005, we moved to Florida and were waiting for our house to be built. The house down the street from the rental had a Great Pyr named Yogi. That was it. My husband's sad boo-boo lip came out. I started looking online for a breeder. I came across Great Pyrenees of South Mountain and spent hours looking at the dogs and new pups and then more hours doing the same with my husband. What a group of gorgeous animals. I called Tim and we went over litter dates. We ended up picking from a litter that was delivered June 18, 2006. My husband was so happy - not only would he have his male great Pyr, but they would also share a birthday! Dealing with Tim was a great experience, beginning from our first phone call. He is a very easy person to talk to, he listens to any and all questions and/or concerns and answers as informatively as he can. He is extremely knowledgeable about the breed and is a very experienced breeder. He is also very patient...while we were trying to pick a puppy, which is so difficult to do quickly because they are all healthy, active, and adorable, it started to rain. Tim stood out in the rain with us, never pushing for us to hurry up because it was wet, and believe me, we took awhile because we had a 4yr old and an 8 yr. old trying to pick also! He separated one by one the pups we didn't want until we finally made our choice...actually, the pup chose us...he would just walk over and sit at my heels. Then I picked him up and he stayed in my arms, a content little pup. And so we found our new family member, an all white male we would call Guinness (we are Irish, and we knew he would be a big, stout Pyr lol). Tim went over feeding, worming, and shot information with us, showing my husband how to administer the shots, which we purchased online for $7 apiece...what a thrill to the pocketbook! off we went. After we were home a few weeks, Tim called to check on 'the baby' and has called several times since then to make sure all is well and that Guinness is growing well, etc., and to see if we have any questions. He always ends a conversation with 'call if you need anything.' I have never dealt with such a helpful and involved breeder and I would never look anywhere else if the time came when we decided to add another great Pyr to the family. I wouldn't waste my time searching for any better, because I don't believe we would find it. My husband commented one night, after we were on Tim's website just to ooh and ahh at new pups, on how beautiful Tim's adult Pyrs are and how there would never be a pup born at South Mountain that wasn't a gorgeous, majestic dog. Anyone who goes home with a pup from there will be completely thrilled with both the puppy and the breeder.
