Summary:

This is a bittersweet romance set against the backdrop of the Grey Havens at the beginning of the 4th Age. Legolas and Gimli travel to the famed swan ports of Cirdan, the Shipwright, where Gimli contracts a myserious illness that daily saps his strength. Meanwhile, Sadril maintains a lonely vigil by her dying husband's side. Fate brings the Prince of Mirkwood and the grieving elleth together. In a race against time to save the dying Gimli, Legolas must choose between duty and the call of his heart, while Sadril must overcome her bitterness or risk losing her soul.
