Here is a recipe that I found to make a perfect thanksgiving stuffing
Prep/Cook: 20 min.
Stand: 15 min.
Bake: 45 min.
Makes: 10 cups
7 tbsp. butter
2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 medium pears, chopped
1 pkg. (16 oz.) Pepperidge Farm® Herb Seasoned Stuffing
2 cups Pepperidge Farm® Seasoned Croutons
1 to 1 1/2 cups chopped dried fruits (peaches, figs, prunes and/or cranberries)
4 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth (Regular, Natural Goodness™ or Certified Organic)
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup chopped fresh fines herbs or parsley
Coat 3-qt. casserole with 1 tbsp. butter and set aside.
Heat 1 tbsp. butter in 8" skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until tender. Remove onion.
Add 1 tbsp. butter to skillet. Add pears. Cook and stir pears for about 5 min. or until browned.
Stir stuffing, croutons and dried fruit in bowl.
Heat broth and remaining butter in 2-qt. saucepan over high heat to a boil. Pour broth mixture over stuffing mixture and stir lightly to coat. Let stand for 15 min.
Stir in eggs, herbs, onion and pears. Spoon mixture into prepared dish and cover.
Bake at 350ºF. for 45 min. or until hot.
