Check out this cool video made by my brother and his friend. It was based on an idea I had after hearing about The Omnivore's Dilemma: the fact that corn is a major ingredient in basically everything we eat. Enjoy it! I really liked it.

Whew, I just finished up a ton of school-related work. Four midterms and 3 papers all in a row. It feels good to get a break. The load left me brain-dead momentarily over the weekend. I heard fighting from outside my apartment, and thought, "huh, my crazy neighbors are partying hard and being loud again." I remarked to myself that it sounds like zombie fighting over food.
After awhile I realized that it sounded like a fight because it was a fight. People were really laying into each other. Knowing about how people in groups tend not to take action, I resolved to call the police to make sure nobody got seriously hurt. The police station gave me a message saying nobody was at the desk and gave me another number to call for a dispatch. By then the fight had died down, so I didn't call the second number. But at least I learned my lesson not to rely on calling that police station in case of an emergency. Scary and amusing.
Oh, and don't forget to check out all the cool site stuff. There's the new Dry Ice Wiki, the corn revealed youtube video by my brother and the ever-popular scathing game review.

That special treat is finally up! It's a bit of a tribute to my favorite game ever, Exile III: Ruined World from the ninties. Check it out! It did take awhile, but it's just such a cool easter egg in the game that I had to let everyone know about it. Enjoy it!

My site is now a step closer to being web 2.0 compliant. I'm still missing the reflections up the whazoo, but I've got the glossy down, I think! It turned out quite nice, in my opinion. I've also done some border jiggery-pokery so that the site to look best using Mozilla. I've just discovered that that jiggery-pokery has messed with the setting for everything that is not Mozilla. For now, I apologize for the glitches. As soon as it is fixed, the borders should look normal abiet slightly different in Opera, Netscape and Internet Explorer (does anyone actually use Netscape anymore?). Anyone using IE, I highly suggest switching to Mozilla. It's much prettier and safer, especially until I get this sorted out. My apologies.
Plus I suppose I should mention my birthday has come and gone, largely without fanfare which is how I like it. I had been saving my favorite comic for the occasion, although I was slightly disappointed with how the technical aspect of the drawing turned out. Ah well, we can't have it all, can we?

Apologies to those using Internet Explorer (AOL) or Opera; the site's layout will look a little strange on the homepage for awhile until I can fix it. In the meantime, may I suggest upgrading to Mozilla Firefox? It's safer and supports more webdesign features of the World Wide Web Consortium.
On my site every page is supposed to have different styles applied to it; one for Mozilla and basically one for everything else. For some reason, the homepage is applying the Mozilla style for those using Internet Explorer instead of just for those using Mozilla. I can't figure it out, so I'm looking for someone who knows how to fix it. If I can't fix it soon, I might have to redesign the homepage to look exactly the same but with an entirely different structure. I hope that doesn't happen, because it'd be incredibly difficult!
Until then, hang in there!
