Dr. Joan Marques stands for more than 20 successful years in advertising, public relations, radio- and television production, and dynamic entrepreneurship. In Suriname, her home country, she co-founded and managed several small businesses and founded a non-profit organization focused on advancement of women. She is the (co-)author of more than 20 books, among which, "The Awakened Leader: One Simple Leadership Style, That Works Every Time, Everywhere", and co-author of "Spirituality in the Workplace: What it Means; Why it Matters; How to Make it Work for You." Dr. Marques holds an MBA from Woodbury University, an EdD in Organizational leadership from Pepperdine University, a PhD in Management & Social Sciences from Tilburg University (The Netherlands), and a post-doctoral certificate in Management and Marketing from Tulane University. Currently, Joan serves as Dean, School of Buisness, and Professor of Management at Woodbury University in Burbank, California, and regularly co-organizes and presents workshops and inspirational sessions for business executives and scholars in the Los Angeles area. Joan has authored a wide variety of papers and articles for scholarly journals and other sources.

Dr. Satinder Dhiman has guided business leaders for the last 35 years, and served for 10 years as a Senior Lecturer in Commerce at DAV College in North India. He has co-authored various textbooks in the area of accounting and management, among which, "Spirituality in the Workplace: What it Means; Why it Matters; How to Make it Work for You." He currently serves as Professor of Management and as Associate Dean of Business at Woodbury University. Dr. Dhiman won ACBSP's prestigious International Teaching Excellence Award in 2004 and the Steve Allen "Excellence in Education" Award in 2006. He holds a Masters degree in Commerce (with Gold Medal) from Panjab University, India; a Doctorate (EdD) in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University, a Doctorate (PhD) in Management & Social Sciences from Tilburg University (the Netherlands), and has completed Executive Leadership Programs at Stanford, Harvard, and Wharton. His current research interests include transformational leadership and spirituality in the workplace. Dr. Dhiman regularly co-organizes and presents workshops and inspirational sessions for business executives and scholars in and outside the Los Angeles area.

Advisors

Ian Mitroff, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus at the Marshall School of Business and the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University, and  Professor at Alliant International University in San Francisco. He is the president and founder of Comprehensive Crisis Management, a private consulting firm based in Oakland, California, and a Senior Investigator with the Center for Catastrophic Risk Management at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Mitroff has published over 250 papers and articles and over 25 books on topics such as crisis management, business policy, corporate culture, contemporary media and current events, foreign Affairs and nuclear deterrence, organizational change, organizational psychology and psychiatry, the philosophy and sociology of science, spirituality in the workplace, and strategic planning. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a Fellow of the Academy of Management and the American Psychological Association, and a member of the editorial boards of several management and social science journals. Judi Neal, Ph.D.,  is passionate about spirituality in the workplace and has gained a national reputation as an expert on this subject. Judi has been successful as a manager, a consultant, a musician, and a University professor. As Founder, President and CEO of the International Center for Spirit at Work, Judi helps to provide resources, information and community to those who are seeking greater integration of spirituality and work.. Judi is the author of Edgewalkers: People and Organizations that Take Risks, Build Bridges, and Break New Ground (Praeger, 2006).
