PGSM - Act Twenty-Four
Act Twenty four picks up right where twenty three left off.
Dark Mercury insults Nephrite and then he comes at her with his spiny blade of death. He swings, and misses by quite a bit.
Darkury isn't impressed.
He swings at her a few times until Kunzite steps in.
Nephrite decides to attack Kunzite next, which is probably not the smartest thing to do.
While the two duke it out, Zoisite continues to play. His piano music filters into the background of the fight scene.
Mamoru is just mildly freaked out by the appearance of this strange piano in his living room. Zoisite continues to tell Mamoru that he must remember his past. (He has been saying so for the past two episodes)
Meanwhile, Kunzite and Nephrite are still fighting when Kunzite slices straight through Nephrite's cape.
For some reason, that pretty much ends the fight. Darkury smirks at Nephrite and heads off.
Not only does Zoisite want Mamoru to regain his memories, but he wants him to do it in such a way that Earth does not face the same tragedy it did in the past.
And then he flashes back to Tuxedo Kamen being swallowed by lava.... Which leads into the theme song.
After the theme song, we go back to the Dark Kingdom where Beryl is yelling at Nephrite. I am not sure if she's mad at him for failing, or for getting in a fight, or for being dirty, but either way, she tells him that she does not want to see him.
A heartbroken Nephrite begs her to reconsider, but she won't.
In Mamoru's apartment, Hina is helping him pack. Mamoru heads off to run some errands. They are making good progress and they'll definitely be ready to go to London in two weeks.
Alone in Metallica's room, Beryl ponders Endymion. After all, that was Zoisite's final word, and now that he's back it makes sense that she'd start thinking about him too.
Mamoru continues to hear Zoisite's piano music, until it stops.
Kunzite has come to visit, and he announces his presence by banging down on the keyboard.
He tells Zoisite that there is no reason to reawaken Endymion. Yes, Kunzite remembers him as well. In the past, they worked for him - but that was in the past.
Usagi and Mamoru happen to be stopped at the same traffic light. They greet each other awkwardly. Usagi sighs. She had finally stopped thinking about him when here he is.
That's when she decides to walk out into traffic. Mamoru gasps and pushes her out of the way, then calls her an idiot. This is foreshadowing.
At Crown, Motoki is talking to Kamekichi, as usual. His turtle has a date.
Mamoru and Usagi enter together. Motoki suggests that he invite Usagi and the rest to his farewell party, as he's going away to college in England. Once again, this is news that stuns Usagi.
Then Makoto comes in, so he's instantly distracted.
When Usagi is alone with Luna, she sits there quietly, but as soon as Makoto walks in she puts on an act about how exciting studying abroad will be for Mamoru. But she can't worry about Mamoru now. Compared to getting Ami back, he's not important.
Makoto is glad that Mamoru is leaving, because with him goes Tuxedo Kamen.
Darkury is wandering about the Dark Kingdom cave when she sees Nephrite sitting alone in a corner.
She holds up a red cape she has made for him and throws it at him, telling him that she doesn't like it when people are all alone.
And then she walks off, leaving a stunned Nephrite.
This is also foreshadowing.
Mamoru heads over to a dumpster and pulls his hat, mask and cape out of his bag. He won't need this anymore.
He's about to throw it in the trash when Zoisite's voice stops him.
I think he blacks out for a moment because when he comes to, he is inside a planetarium with Zoisite.
Zoisite rather dramatically tells him about the past, and how Endymion-Mamoru fell in love with the moon. There is another flashback of Mamoru-Tuxedo-Kamen-Endymion running through flames, this time with a girl in a white dress.
Zoisite tells him that once he was the guardian of Earth.
Mamoru closes his eyes, but when he thinks of trying to remember his past, he thinks about saving Sailor Moon - and he really doesn't want to think about Sailor Moon.
He tells Zoisite in no uncertain terms that he does not want to remember his past - he is not Zoisite's master. He is just an ordinary guy.
He hurries out of the planetarium and starts for home when Hina calls to find out where he is. Then he turns around to see Kunzite calmly leaning against a lamppost.
The next scene is Hina dropping the phone and running to Crown. Mamoru hung up on her and isn't answering his phone.
Motoki says that he probably just lost signal on his phone, but Hina is sure something is up. The last thing she heard him say was the word - the name “Kunzite”
Usagi and Makoto happen to overhear this. Usagi gathers her courage and asks Hina where Mamoru was calling from. After hearing the answer, she tears out of Crown.
Makoto tries to catch her. She says that she'll go rescue Mamoru so that Usagi doesn't have to think about him.
Usagi says that getting attacked by the enemy is a special circumstance where she can think of him.
Kunzite tries to slash at Mamoru while the helicopter in the previous episode flies over head.
Mamoru runs back into the building, while Kunzite follows. Somehow, even though Mamoru is running, Kunzite can walk and keep up.
After demonstrating that he can do jump-flips just as well as the senshi can, Kunzite says that really, this is all Zoisite's fault. If he hadn't given Mamoru memories, this would not have happened.
Mamoru hits Kunzite with a garbage can and then runs up the stairs.
He quickly changes into his Tuxedo Kamen outfit so that he's better able to fight back. It's the cane that helps. Although it doesn't help that much.
Kunzite blasts him off a balcony and he falls down somewhere in the middle of a TV studio, where the people are being terrorized by a youma.
Kunzite is not impressed with how powerless Mamoru is.
Usagi and Makoto rush into the empty building and look around cautiously.
Luna, as usual, is the first to spot the youma upstairs. (After awhile, all of the buildings sorta look the same)
The youma jumps down to attack the girls.
They Make Up in two separate windows that rotate around.
The traditional fight scene commences. First they make the youma dizzy, then she falls down, then Jupiter pins it to the wall. Jupiter tells Moon to go rescue Mamoru. She'll fight with the youma. I don't know why she couldn't just blast the youma first...
Moon hurries upstairs to see the usual collection of people passed out.
Kunzite tells Tux that once he told him not to be afraid to search for his past. Everything is Endymion's fault, according to Kunzite. He betrayed them and destroyed the planet and Kunzite wants revenge starting with Tux.
The lighting in this scene makes Tux's cane look pink.
Kunzite swings his sword around, blasting Tux with some blue light until Sailor Moon tells him to stop. She jumps down several flights of stairs and lands near them. They all look at each other for a minute before Kunzite decides to return to the matter at hand - blasting Tux.
Another voice - Zoisite's - makes Kunzite stop again. The white haired shitennou is holding a large green glowing something, which seems to absorb Kunzite's blasts.
Moon isn't entirely sure what's going on, but she moves protectively in front of Tux.
Kunzite finally knocks Zoisite to the ground and returns his attention to Tux (and Moon), but when he hears Zoisite get up, he turns and blasts him again.
Zoisite gives up and vanishes.
Kunzite blasts at them, but Moon absorbs it into her wand for a very long twenty seconds before she starts to glow with a golden light, which overpowers him.
She sends Moon Twilight Flash at him. He absorbs it into his sword for awhile before retreating.
Sailor Jupiter is still fighting with the youma. Now they're in some sort of loading dock area, and things aren't going that well for her.
Just as things look really bad, Sailor Mars shows up.
Working together, using Supreme Thunder and Youma Taisan they blow up the youma.
Tuxedo Kamen is comforting Sailor Moon - and apologizing. She asks Tux if he has seen Mamoru. She's worried that he's hurt.
Tux hesitates and then says he hasn't seen him. Moon struggles to her feet to look for him. Tux limps after her, telling her to stop. He asks why she's so concerned.
Moon replies that when she told him about the scarf she wanted to give to someone in act nineteen she meant that she wanted to give it to Mamoru. That's why she has to find him.
Tux-Mamoru is in shock and he hurries after her as they both limp up the stairs... and then down the stairs to the lobby. It looks very silly.
She collapses at the bottom of the stairs and he goes over to her, calling her an idiot.
Moon stares at him in shock as she remembers what happened before at the stop light.
Then she slowly reaches up and removes his mask. His mask has no straps or anything so I'm not sure how it stays on.
The two look at each other for the rest of the show - a few more seconds as the theme song plays again.
