PGSM - Act Thirty-Five

Just like last time, Mamoru is out riding his motorcycle when he sees a girl stumble out into the street and collapse.
He skids to a stop, rushes over to her and turns her over, revealing to the audience at home that it's Mio.

Meanwhile, Usagi lays out her clothes for the next day, puts on her colorful pajamas and gets ready for bed.
Luna looks outside and sees that it's barely sunset, and she is confused.
Usagi has a perfectly good reason for going to bed so early - tickets for Minako's concert go on sale early the next morning.

Luna still isn't pleased that Usagi and Mamoru are dating now, but there's nothing she can do about it.

Mamoru took Mio to the hospital, where he is waiting for her to wake up. She opens her eyes right on cue and asks where she is.
Mamoru brings her up to speed: She fell down in front of him.
She thanks Mamoru and sets her hand on his.
Ominous music plays.

Beryl says that soon Endymion will be in her hands. She won't let the princess get in her way this time.

Usagi says good night and goes to bed.

Theme song

Mamoru calls Usagi and wakes her up. He's rather surprised to find that she's sleeping. And he looks at the phone to make sure that she's sleeping before hanging up. He intends to keep an eye on Mio until her family come.

Minako is in the same hospital for her routine treatment that seems to be some medicine dripped into her arm via IV.
Artemis wants her to have the surgery, rather than coming in for treatment all the time.
But again, Minako says that she doesn't want to take the risk. She'd rather live now to fulfill their mission from the past life in whatever time she has.
All she wants to do is make sure the past doesn't repeat. And now that Mamoru and Usagi are together, it seems that is going to be much harder.

Mamoru is about to leave Mio. She insists that she has to repay Mamoru's kindness, but he tells her not to worry about it, and then he leaves.
She stares at him as he walks out of the room, and we transition to Beryl, reminiscing about the past.

Kunzite and Zoisite are discussing how Beryl is obsessing with her past life... kind of like someone else who likes to play the piano.
Kunzite ponders. If he has Endymion under his control, he'll have an advantage over Beryl.
Zoisite does not like this. It seems like out of the four of them, he is the only one that still wants to protect Endymion, and he's not sure how much he can do on his own.

Minako is leaving the hospital with Artemis in one hand and a cute suitcase in the other.
She happens to see Mamoru leaving the hospital as well, and she chases him. She's not quite fast enough, as he gets on his motorcycle and drives out of the parking lot.

As Mamoru drives off, Minako and Artemis see Zoisite appear.
He asks if she is after Endymion too.

Minako drops Artemis and Makes Up. Zoisite politely waits until she has finished with her long transformation sequence. He lets her go through her whole speech too, but it looks like he's about to start laughing.
She tries to use her Venus Love-Me-Chain, but he just calmly vanishes before she hits him.
She looks rather confused by that. It seems no one has ever moved out of the way of her attack before.

Zoisite sneaks up behind her and grabs her, holding a knife somewhere near her throat. This time, it's his turn to win the fight (She beat him in Act 12).
He tells her to stay away from his master.
Venus and Artemis are surprised that Zoisite remembers his past - and she says that he should tell his master to stay away from her princess.

Venus manages to break away, and the two separate, standing defensively about ten feet away from each other before Zoisite finally lowers his knife thing.
It seems that he and Venus have the same goal. It's time for a truce.

The others are at Crown, and human Luna is complaining about how Usagi went to bed so early, because she has to get up early for concert tickets.
Makoto gasps and gathers up her things, ignoring Luna talking about how Venus won't approve of Usagi and Mamoru getting together.

Rei wonders why Venus is so strict, but Ami thinks it is because Venus has the most memories of her past life.
Makoto rushes out.

Venus and Zoisite have left the parking garage and moved to the roof somewhere.
They are comparing notes on the Tragedy in the past that destroyed everything, and how that Must Not Happen again.
He also says that Beryl is after Endymion, but she still controls Zoisite, so he won't be able to stop her. That's why he wants to talk to Venus.
In exchange for her help in protecting Endymion, Zoisite gives her a box.

The next day, tragedy strikes - the Minako concert is Sold Out before Usagi can get tickets.
Usagi walks away sadly.
A few minutes later, Makoto comes by to find out that the concert is sold out, and she throws a tantrum.

While Usagi is walking home, a van pulls up and Minako rolls down the window, inviting Usagi into her car.
Usagi is so excited, she babbles and bounces around.

Minako glances at the box on the seat next to her. It's a music box. Zoisite says that if she plays it for Usagi, she will lose all of her memories of Mamoru.

Usagi doesn't notice this, she's too busy squealing because Minako is giving her a ride.
And then Minako invites her out to lunch which sets her off again.

In the next scene they are at a restaurant with food spread out before them. It seems they are in their own private room, but Minako is an Idol after all.
Usagi says that she's wanted to thank Minako for singing - whenever Usagi is sad, she listens to Minako's songs and then feels better.

Minako flashes back to when she saw Usagi and Mamoru hugging. She's torn about what to do now...

Mamoru is getting on his bike when he senses someone behind him. It's Mio.
She tells him to come with her, and speaks in reverb, moving in slow motion.
But she's creeping Mamoru out, so he tries to push her away, but she just dives into his arms.
He's very confused.
He'd be even more confused if he saw what the audience gets to see - Beryl's image superimposed over Mio.

Dark flower petals swirl around them and Mio starts laughing. Mamoru's eyes slowly glaze over. Mio takes his hand and starts to lead him away.

Zoisite slams his hands down on the keyboard. He hadn't been expecting Mio to be Beryl's shadow.

Usagi is eating her lunch, but Minako hasn't touched hers. She knows that its best if Usagi and Mamoru split up, but she can't quite bring herself to do it.
Usagi asks her what's wrong, and Minako drops the music box. It falls open on the floor and starts to play.

Usagi promptly goes into a trance. She flashes back to hugging Mamoru, but her memories start burning away.
Zoisite appears before Minako, fading in and out, almost as though this Soul Flight is difficult (Maybe it is, if Beryl doesn't want him to interfere). He tells Minako that Beryl is trying to take Endymion.

Upon hearing that, Usagi turns and slowly walks out of the room, with Minako trailing her. She has to go save Mamoru.
Zoisite appears again and tells Minako to go and protect Endymion. That was their deal. He fades out.
Minako opens the music box again. Memories pass Usagi, burning up. She reaches out vainly to try to catch hold of them.

Mio is leading Mamoru away, when suddenly they are stopped by Kunzite. As usually, they are on roof top.
Kunzite takes a swing at Mio, but Jadiete blocks him.
Kunzite is not impressed, and he and Jadiete fight, but Kunzite rather quickly over powers him.
But in process, he accidentally cuts Mamoru's arm.

Usagi starts singing - Minako's song C'est La Vie. After all, when ever she's having a hard time, Minako's songs make her feel better and make her do her best.
Minako realizes that Usagi has decided to forget the song instead of forgetting Mamoru.

She drops the box and it shatters.
Mamoru has broken out of his spell as well and he calls out Usagi's name. This makes Kunzite and Jadiete stop fighting.
Mio is rather annoyed that her spell wore off.

There is a yell of "Moon Twilight Flash!" with the accompanying purple light. Mio vanishes, Dark Kingdom style, leaving Jadiete and Kunzite there to face Sailor Moon and Prince Endymion in his white outfit. (I miss Tux)

Kunzite races towards Sailor Moon, but Endymion blocks him. He doesn't want to find Kunzite though.
So while Kunzite and Endymion fight, Jadiete and Sailor Moon fight.
There are lots of clashing swords from the first fight, and lots of cartwheels in the second.

Venus shows up to help they switch partners. The girls against Kunzite, Endymion against Jadiete.

Suddenly, a storm rolls in very quickly, and Beryl's image appears in the sky. Beryl demands that the shitennou return home, and she doesn't even let them teleport themselves.

Venus watches Sailor Moon and Endymion and knows that there's nothing she can do. She walks up to Sailor Moon and hands her an envelope, saying that she's sorry.

Moon is confused as she studies the envelope. Then she realizes that they are tickets to Minako's concert. She bounces around for awhile before it occurs to her to wonder where Venus got them from.
Endymion helpfully says that it's because she can get tickets to her own concert.
It takes a minute for that to sink in.

Usagi and Mamoru hurry into the concert just as it's starting. Minako is singing her song Romance, wearing a plastic dress and an orange cowboy hat.
Usagi and Mamoru are late. They were probably delayed fighting the Dark Kingdom.

Suddenly Minako stops singing and faints.
