Who Are You: AST are writers & producers Floss (Me) & Noel who work with several singers (Buce, Claire, Lauren, Miriam) and rappers Harrg & Mr Musn't along with DJ Moldoon. We have been going for about 8 years! In that time Noel & l have done soundtracks for documentaries, extreme sports videos, dance companies and are currently working on our first feature film score for The Midnight Drives. (The soundtracks are a bit seperate to the full band). We've had an EP, This Little World, featuring remixes from US produces Josh Collins & Brian Ffar, released internationally. We have also had radio play in the UK, Africa & Australia. Our debut album, On The Outskirts, came out last June. We are based in Stroud, with the vocalists coming from Stroud, Dursley, Bath & London (although Claire is originally from Toronto).
Why Should We Come and See You: You should come and see us because we really are something a bit different. I live set has been described as " by turns, wistfully melancholic & in your face brutal" (Adam Horovitz, Stroud News). You get some beautiful heartfelt tunes from the girls & then pumping hip-hop when the boys come on.
For Fans of / Sounds Like: Our fans are quite wide ranging, due to our eclectic style, so fans of Massive Attack, Portishead and Leftfield to Roots Manuva and Braintax should enjoy our set.
