Corinium Calling

A new CD featuring the cream in local talent will soon be hitting the streets. It's called Corinium Calling. Keep on reading to find out what it's all about....
Corinium Calling
Corinium Calling is the name of a local band compilation album for artists in the Cotswolds and Wiltshire. The CD is being put together by Evan Burgess, the singer in the band Raison D’etre, who was inspired by the live shows of Cirencester bands like Subconscious Dream, Morph and The Divine Secret to the point where he felt the bands needed to be heard and recognized on a wider level.

According to Evan "(there are) so many good bands in the area it was hard to ignore the potential for a record to be made. The quality of the music isn’t shy of what you’d hear on the radio, with each chosen artist being incredible at what they do."

In fact, some of the bands featured have had some great adventures playing music already. In 2004 Morph played in front of 2000 people at the Thurrock Music Festival, and as recently as the autumn Mark My Words opened for the internationally known hardcore band “Walls of Jericho” at Swindon’s Furnace.

The record should be out around March 07, with a number of shows to mark the release.
