Chapter Five: Blue Love:

Breakfast started out nice and pleasant today. Noiz paid of course. She had that Kohana could have anything she wanted this morning without money being an object. The mousegirl had a hard time making up her mind at first.

“Anything?” she asked her mistress. Noiz nodded at her kindly.

“Anything,” the kitty replied. Kohana mouthed out her surprise to herself. The mouse took some time to think about it. This meal couldn’t be too pricy. But yet, Kohana didn’t want to be cheap either. The mousegirl looked over at the hotel restaurant meal near the entry. She had the answer she wanted right away.

“Let’s have soba noodles for breakfast today!” she chirped aloud. Noiz looked on at her with no emotion in her face. Kohana suddenly felt bad for choose soba noodles for breakfast. The happy glow from her face faded away as a result.

“No good, huh?” the mousegirl asked her disappointed. Noiz held up her hand as she shook her head.

“Actually,” Noiz contradicted. “That sounds like a fun idea. I’ll try it.” Kohana’s face lit up once again.

“Really?” she asked. “You mean it?” Noiz smiled at her and kissed her lightly on the lips. Kohana kissed back happily. They slowly parted from each other. Noiz smiled at her still.

“Convinced?” the kitty asked her new lover. The mousegirl nodded at her red in the cheeks. So, they had some nice hot soba noodles for breakfast. Kohana watched her eat with a smile on her face. The cat looked up and noticed right away.

“What?” she asked the mouse. “Do I have something on my face?” Kohana shook her head at her smiling.

“No,” she replied. “I just like watching you eat.” Noiz looked at her slightly odd.

“Hm?” she asked. “What are you talking about?” Kohana shrugged at her.

“I just like being around you,” she replied. Kohana’s face reddened even deeper. “Uh… forgive me for being rude about this, Noiz-sama,” the mousegirl began to say as she looked down at her bowl on the table. Noiz paused with the chopsticks in her hand.

“Go on,” she said. “What do you want to say to me?” The mousegirl hesitated at first. She trembled a bit at first. Suddenly, the mouse wished she hadn’t spoken at all. But, this just had to come out or else it would drive her insane for the rest of the summer. Kohana looked up at her charming boss again. Her face still stayed bright red.

“I think I have fallen in love with you!” she blurted out loud. The mousegirl shut her eyes tightly. Now, the poor girl wished that she hadn’t said that at all. “Oh no!” Kohana thought in fear. “Noiz-sama probably thinks I’m being selfish and desperate! I really do like her! But, I don’t want to tear her and Rob apart! I don’t want to be seen as a home wrecker! Oh this bad! Really bad!” But, she couldn’t know that for sure until she actually opened her eyes and looked. So, that is what the mousegirl did.

To her surprise, Noiz didn’t look offended or angry at such a declaration. In fact, she didn’t have anything on her face at all. Kohana looked at her in desperation. She wanted her boss to say something to her. The silence and Noiz’s pretty face were not helping the mousegirl to think straight at all. Even the noodles hanging out of her mouth made her look pretty attractive. “Come on!” Kohana thought desperately. “Please say something!”

Then, something pretty unexpected happened. Noiz finished up the noodles dangling out of her mouth and actually… smiled at the mouse. Kohana froze up in surprise at that one. This was just completely… unexpected. Then, Noiz reached forward and lightly patted her on the head. Kohana looked at her mistress’ hand in slight confusion.

“So…” she said aloud at last. “What does that mean? Do you feel the same way about me that I do about you?” Noiz didn’t answer at all at first. She leaned in a gently kissed the mouse on the cheek. Kohana blushed again at such a sweet and confusing gesture. She looked over at the cat at loss for words at that brief moment.

“So what are you saying?” the mousegirl finally managed to ask. “I don’t understand you at all.” The catgirl pulled back from her sexy pet mouse smiling wickedly.

“I don’t really know the answer to that one myself,” she replied. “I’m just going to have to stick around with you to find out. Does that bother you at all?” Kohana didn’t speak. She quickly shook her head at her boss/mistress. Noiz grinned at her again. She quickly kissed the mousegirl on the lips again.

“Thanks, sounds good to me!” the kitty called out. “Now finish your breakfast. We have work to do today.” Noiz finished up her own breakfast after saying all of that. Kohana looked at her really confused. Just when she thought that she had the cat all figured out, another twist came into the game. But strangely, that’s just what made everything more fun between them.
