Chapter Seven: Hell Night:

The spring dance began at seven o’clock. The students all flooded in waves. Andrew lagged behind well-hidden. His plan was already put together in his head. Wendy arranged the whole dance this year. Ha, merely an ego show was what it was all about. Great for Andrew. All the more to publicly humiliate that delusional, egotistical bitch. Wendy had it coming for a long time. This was not only for Heather, but for all the other meek girls she had crushed in the past. This was vengeance long overdue.

Wendy paced around inside the gym, nervously. Tonight was an important night for her. On Monday. The votes would be tallied up and the new class president would be announced. Yet, some of the students hadn’t voted yet. “This is not good!” he thought over and over again. “I need those votes to stay in power.” The last thing she wanted was her rival to steal it all away from her. She violently shook her head. “No, no, no, no, no!” Wendy screamed in her head. “It can’t just end that way! I won’t let it! I just won’t let that happen! I won’t let it! I won’t! I won’t!

Her black kitten heels stamped back and forward on the hard waxed floor. Her sidekick, Holly, looked at her with a bitten lip.

“Maybe you should have a seat, Wendy…” she began to say. Her boss whipped around to her with a look of Satan in her eyes. Holly backed away with little eyes and trembling hands.

“Okay…” she mumbled. Wendy shook her head.

“No,” she said. “I am so sorry for that!”

“O-kay…” Holly replied. Wendy shut her eyes and shook her head again.

“I’m just really nervous,” she said.

Holly nodded. “I see…”

Wendy looked at her with a bitter look in her eyes. “You’re laughing at me, aren’t you?”

“No, no! I’m not!”

“Yes, you are! I can see it in your eyes!”

“I’m not, really! I’m on your side! Really I am!”

Wendy was about to scream in rage, but forced herself to calm down. “Whew! I need my medication now. Excuse me.” The class presidential hopeful turned and left for the bathroom. Holly watched her with a confused look on her face.

“Okay…” she mumbled. The poor soul could never figure her boss out.

The party began to unfold just in time. Most of the students were socializing, laughing, and having a good time. Andrew stood near the back, watching everyone. He was searching for something. Or rather, someone. Okay, two people tops! He spotted one of them already. Heather stood on the opposite end of the gym, waiting for her date. Even Andrew has to admit, she did look rather cute in her long, deep brown party dress. Almost made him want to go over there and ask her to dance with him. (Nothing nasty, of course. He had too much respect for her to even think about that. Heather Grier was the only ex that he had any shed of respect for.) Almost. He had more important things to think about at the moment. No sign of the target yet. Give her time. She is destined to show. The bitch did put together this whole ego parade after all.

Around eight o’clock, the diva herself made her grand entrance. Andrew kept his eyes on Wendy the whole time. Her green party dress was going to look so much better with the red that was going to accompany it. Andrew smirked to himself. “Right on time!” he thought. Now for the revenge to gracefully make her arrival as well.

Wendy spent the whole night with her date, Wallace Albarn, dancing, bragging, socializing with the “little people” as she called them, and flirting with the cute guys. Wallace himself kept looking around for an escape. In fact, he looked like he didn’t even want to be at this stupid ego show of a dance. In fact, everyone around her couldn’t stand the snot. But, what could they do? She would be in power until the votes were tallied up. And then they would still have to wait and see if she would still be in better for another year. (God help them all if she was.) Andrew didn’t look fazed. Or at least he pretended not to be. Sweet Lady Revenge was well on her way and time for Wendy’s reign was running out.

At ten o’clock, Wendy took the stage. She tapped the microphone to call everyone’s attention. The students looked up with pain in their ears. Andrew stood in the back, smirking. “Show time!” he thought. Wendy searched her audience before opening her big mouth.

“Everyone!” she cheered. “I would love to thank you all for coming out tonight! This our twentieth annual spring dance and I was more than honored to put it all together.” Everyone rolled their eyes as Wendy chuckled over the microphone. Andrew only counted down in his head.

10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1!

“I made a speech to thank everyone who helped me pull this off. Mostly me,” Wendy started up. “But I made a speech anyway.”

“Why?” someone shouted in the back. Wendy paused and looked up.

“Sorry?” she asked.

Andrew stepped forward in the crowd, smirking at her. “Why bother? You said it yourself, you did most of the work, even though there are others that slaved under you and took your endless abuse.”

Wendy looked up at him with a sharp glare in her eyes. “I beg your pardon?”

“You heard me! You act all high and mighty like the queen of the school, but in reality everyone here hates you!”

“That’s not true!”

Andrew snorted at her. “How long are you going to keep telling yourself that lie? No one likes you because you’re spoiled, jealous, addicted to pills, controlling, a liar, and psychotic. What else did I miss?”

Wendy’s rage began to build up again. “What did you say?!?” Soon, the whole school seemed to turn against their dictator in a fit of passion.

“Crazy!”

“Rude!”

“Pushy!”

“Mean!”

“Ugly!”

“Cruel!”

“Heartless!”

“Bitchy!”

“Hypocritical!”

“Delusional!”

“Liar!”

“LIAR!” It all sank into her pretty fast. Wendy would usually hold back her anger until she was with one of her “friends” to let it all out. But tonight, she just couldn’t hold back anymore. Wendy’s face coated a bright spaghetti sauce red. Andrew grinned at the results. Oh, there it was. Queen Bitch’s true colors flared up in front of her.

“You know what?!?” she snapped. “FUCK YOU ALL! YOU’RE ALL JUST JEALOUS OF ME! I’M THE ONLY ONE WHO IS PERFECT TO DO THIS JOB! ME! ME!!! HEATHER IS JUST A LYING LITTLE SLUT!!! I’M THE PERFECT ONE HERE! I’M THE ONLY PERFECT ONE IN THIS SCHOOL! ME! ME! ME!!!” Everyone booed her at her breakdown. Wendy stamped her foot and flipped everyone off.

“FUCK YOU ALL!!!” she yelled. “I HATED THIS SCHOOL ANYWAY!!!” Wendy stomped off the stage and left the gym. The DJ continued the music to dissipate the mood and everyone went back to having a good time. Andrew turned and walked out of the dance. His work here was done!
