Adabting to the existence of the large systems

ADAPTING TO THE EXISTENCE OF LARGE SYSTEMS

Large systems as a new factor
Ways of adapting to their existence needed
FROM THIS FOLLOWS THE NEED TO EMPHASIZE THE VALUE OF THE INTELLECT.

Handling large systems and their functioning does not succeed solely on the ground of human's instincts.
So one must use as helping aids thinking and one's picture of the world.
- Size class and
a technical nature
- Machines,
written laws, regulations and game rules and
specialization and working in order to gain money

HUMAN BEING IS NOT NATURALLY ADAPTED TO LIVE WITH LARGE SYSTEMS
- the ability to understand differences in and effects of sizes, realistical thinking, common sense and objective thinking and picture of the world are important
- quality of information, values (a new standard about what is without any mistakes or errors, is needed because otherwise individual acts have too big influence of the whole)
- the need of a theory of large systems

Natural things versus unnatural ones
(machines, effectiveness optimized production, mistakes and so on)

Being able to handle the unnaturalities.

The changing of living conditions and getting used to the new living conditions WITH THE HELP OF THE INTELLECT:

To natural stimulus the reaction of a human being (and the reaction af other living beings) makes sense.
In unnatural conditions it is a different thing: the reaction is still adapted to the natural living conditions. One needs the intellect to make sure that the reaction makes sense both from the point of view of the part and from the point of view of the whole.
Possibly one needs to make a correction: one's picture of the world.

+ WHAT THE WORK REQUIRES
+ WHAT THE HUMAN BEINGS REQUIRE
+ REQUIREMENTS OF THE WHOLE (ALSO IN THE LONG RUN)

FITTING TOGETHER
THE TECHNOLOGY
AND EVERYTHING ELSE

The requirements of human beings
The value of naturality, human kindness and functioning
Fitting together usefulness and other values

The value of not interfering
when it comes to the nature and naturality
+ less work to do
+ more stabile
+ complications caused by too much and by wrong kind of interfering get avoided
+ one observes much more easily what kind of thing it is a question of
+ a more sequre ground for the future
+ more predictable
+ more natural

Why to act according to the nature of things:
+ if left alone things go by themselves that way
+ it is at least an easy way to get thigs to work
+ if one does not do so, something might get broken
+ one should first figure out a way that would work, too
+ the solution might already be optimized
(by natural selection or otherwise if it is another kind of thing)
+ the nature of things is a sure ground a to build upon

THE NATURE OF A HUMAN BEING Human being as a biological creature

Fullfilling needs

In real rationality one has to take into account that a human being is a living being: human values.
Quyalities common to all human beings and taking them into account,
taking care of the basic requirements of living beings' happy and healthy life: human values!

Completely adapted to a certain kind of living conditions
No need to change those conditions

vSo what thinking says about large systems? The systems are either tools or ruled by the laws of competition. In both cases it makes sense to optimise the systems. What does that optimisation mean:
Some guidability is needed and for that it is important to give each thing feedback according to what it causes, according to what it is like. In other woirds justice is a must for the builders of artifical systems.
If the systems want to use human workers, they have to protect human values.
To a person living in close contact with artifical systems, long term benefit is often the same as the long term benefit of the systems, since protection and prosperity come bvia the sytems.
