In the beginning there was man. man became technologically advanced. man was reckless and destroyed there home. seeking refuge they built great spaceships and lived amongst the stars. eventually seeking a new home they created a gate way to another galaxy but they did not know what was waiting on the other side.

BENTUSI STORY

A race of traders stumble across and ancient technology that unlocked the secrets of hyperspace; the first hyperspace core. They grew in power and became the galactic peace makers. Another race soon after finds the second core and campaigns against the galaxy. They are beaten into exile but only to be replaced by a worse tyrant. In shame the traders demiliterise their ships and fall into the shadows.

 

Plot

In the dark ages of technology space voyage was limited to conventinal Drives taking years to travel the great void. The bentusi a race of Normadic Traders came to the ruins of an ancient ship that housed the first core. In this discovery they built the greatest of their ships the Bentus and established the Old Trade Routes spreading their influence across the galaxy. Soon after the establishment of the Trade Routes, the Bentusi took upon themselves the mantle of "Galactic Peacekeepers". Using the far-jumper housed in their harbourship, Bentus, the Bentusi could send their entire fleet to quell interplanetary wars with their superior technology. However, many systems did not like being little more than protectorates of the Bentusi, and began conspiring with other planets to bring an end to the Bentusi's tyranny. Almost overnight, dozens of wars broke out across the galaxy. The Bentusi fleet, though indisputably powerful, could only be in one place at one time. As the dust settled, several new Empires had been created, and the Galactic Council was formed. The Bentusi's reign had ended.

Soon after another race found the second core and started a Crusade taking over planets and pillaging technology. these where the Hiigarans. when the Hiigarans came for the Tiidan the Bentusi came to restore peace. Bentus, after having taken minor fire from Hiigaran ships, activated its far-jumper, wrenching the Bentusi fleet from nearby staging grounds. As the fight went on, the Bentus made use of its far-jumper to make tactical jumps to support forces around the battlefield. The Hiigarans also utilized a far-jumper, but their inexperience and the sheer technological superiority of the Bentusi led to their defeat.

In their defeat the Hiigarans were sent into exile and they were replaced by the Tiidan who where an even more power hungry and merciless race. In shame the Bentusi demilitarized their fleets and fell back into the shadows not to interfere again.
