Room Information

Below are discriptions of the guest rooms as well as other rooms at the Taylor Home Inn we believe guests will enjoy. Visit the links for more detailed views of our rooms.

Andy's Room is furnished with a masculine touch, complete with king-size bed, large windows that offer a view of our back pasture, an overstuffed easy chair and ottoman, and a private bathroom with shower.

Opie's Room is smaller but just as inviting. It looks just like Opie's room did on the television show, right down to the (queen-size)brass bed! This room has a desk where Opie can sit while doing his long division, complete with a Big Chief tablet and a piggy bank for his next "spendin' spree". The window seat is plenty roomy enough to sit on while reading or just gazing out the window, and although Opie's room didn't show one, we took the liberty of adding a chair and ottoman for our guests' comfort. There is an adjoining private bathroom with a shower.

Bee's Room is decorated in soft greens and purples, with violets accenting the walls and nightstands; a chaise lounge, vanity, wardrobe, and antique oak dresser furnish the room with femininity. The queen-size bed is covered with a chenille bedspread and a handmade quilt. There is an old-fashioned claw foot tub and a single shower in the adjoining private bathroom.

Our living room and front porch are also available for guests to use at their leisure, and although the kitchen is private, it is modeled after Aunt Bee's kitchen, complete with a swinging door and the china cabinet where she stored her Blue Willow dishes. With prior permission from the owners, it is available for guests to view for photos during non-service hours.

The television room is located just outside the guest rooms, where guests can snuggle under an afghan or quilt, pop some popcorn in the microwave, and watch satellite TV, movies, or of course "The Andy Griffith Show" DVD's, or perhaps play one of a variety of games (remember "Password"?).
