Atlanta Reggae Label Makes Comeback

September 08, 2015 -- Tech Sound has been releasing recordings from independent artists in the Atlanta area since 1985. Champion and Machet-T return to the studio for a live performance of Tech sound hits. As "Tech Sound System" Champion spins and Machet-T is MC. This live performance captures the essence of sound clash style DJing. The sound is roots Dub and Dancehall classics from the Atlanta underground with a little soul, world beat, and Jazz in between. Champion was founding DJ for the "WORLD PARTY" a pioneering world music radio show during the 1990s on WRFG 89.3FM in Atlanta. Machet-T was a member of "HQH POSSE" a ground breaking Hip hop and Dancehall group that came out of Atlanta's burgeoning Rap scene in the 1990s.
