* Water hardness is checked post the Water Softener twice a day to ensure hardness levels
do not exceed 1 grain per gallon (gpg). The Softener is tested:
- Prior to the first patient treatment.
- At the end of the treatment day.
* The hardness test is documented on the Daily Water Quality Monitoring Log.
* If hardness levels are greater than 1 gpg alert B.E.S.T. This is NOT an emergency. Patient
treatments may continue.
