Little Girl Where

It was on a busy street corner, in the big city.
Her cloth's were so ragged "oh" what a pity.
She was trying to cross the street,
Her shoes so bad, you could see her little feet.

No one seem to see her, are maybe didn't care.
But It almost broke my heart to see her standing there
She just couldn't have been over four,
And as pretty as could be.

"Where Is She"

I leaned and ask, Honey where's your mommy at.
She said her Mommy and Daddy had an awful spat.
She said her face looked awful sore
Then all at once she fell, and laid there on the floor.

This really made my Daddy mad, he walked out the door,
I went and dialed 911 like I have done before.
Some men came in a big Ambulance took mommy away,
They didn't even notice me as the drove away.

"Where Is She"

"Where" did my Mommy go, with a big tear in her eye.
Sometimes I think my Daddy's sick, he makes my Mommy cry.
I can't go home to Daddy for he would be so mad.
Now knowing what happened surly makes me sad.

I ask her what her name was, Mary Sue she said with a little smile.
But my mommy alway's called me her little baby doll.
I took her in this Children's store.
Got her a dress and shoes, she was so very poor.

"Where Is She"

I said let's go find your mommy "now" that got a smile.
We finally found the Hospital after quite a while.
They said that her mommy had just passed away.
How could I tell this little girl, what was I going to say

They said that her skull was cracked, and her face was broken to.
By the time they found her there was nothing they could do.
I told her that mommy went to Heaven.
She said Jesus was in Heaven so mommy won't hurt no more.
Now that she's in Heaven with God,
he can't hurt her my mommy anymore.

"Where Is She"

I hope who ever reads this will just stop and think,
Do I do this kind of thing when I have a drink.
If your Man or Woman it's not for this to be,
It's not for little Children,
not for them to see.

Don't have them ask "Where Is She"
God Bless our Children.
