A Child's Winter

You can tell that winter, is here
For you can hear the Chlidren cheer.
You hear Mom,Dad can I go then a"yes"
Out in the snow, bet you already guessed.

They build a snowman till their hands are red,
then their off for the Garage,to find the sled.
Mom yell's come in now children, its time to eat
They only come in just to warm their feet.

They play an play till you know their half dead,
Looks out the window got the dog on the sled.
Mom says come now children, time for a nap,
You think they got their bottoms slapped.

I'm not tired with a whine, first thing you hear
Hardly lay down and a sleep, the poor dears.
This will go on,for the first snow or two,
Yes you guess it, time for something new.

From in the tree house, throw snowball at Dad,
this has to be the most fun that they had.
Dad runs inside, then out the back door,
yep!waiting for him with snowballs once more.

Dad tells them make out a list for Santa to see,
we must go hunting for a big Christmas tree.
Christmas is coming just a few days away,
Kid's go shoping, don't have time to play.

They put up a big tree, beautiful Angel on top,
eat popcorn, drink coco you think they will pop.
Soon everything ready, a house full of cheer,
what makes it special, the grand folks are here.

Christmas is here, but not quite like a mouse,
the toys are scattered all over the house.
Mom cleans up the house, just does her thing,
but back in her mind, she can't wait till spring.
