"Being a Dad"

When you feel your ready for a family,
and think your ready to be a dad.
Think what you went through in life,
and things maybe you never had.

Most Dads work so hard at times,
how I used to watch mine sweat.
No time to stop and play with us,
and how that used to make us fret.

Responsibility changes when you,
take on the job of being a Dad.
Having a wife and child to feed,
the biggest job that you ever had.

Sometimes your temper will flare,
and you'll feel sorry for yourself.
Just remember it's new to them to,
so put your sorrows on a shelf.

May be times when you say things,
that will hurt your child are wife.
Just be man enough to apologize,
be able to go on with your life.

But after you've got the hang of it,
then you'll really be on your way.
The greatest feeling in the world,
coming home at the end of the day.

A wife with a kiss for you at the door,
big hug from your child makes it right.
Forget about life before becoming a dad,
and your heart will jump with delight.

For soon thing will all fall into place,
and things will get better you'll see.
Then take a vacation have some fun,
and spend time with your family.
