And The Heavens Opened

I'm sitting at my window drinking coffee from my cup,
rain coming down and being fall made the air feel raw.
I looked into the heavens,the clouds had opened up,
there was a staircase going up, and this is when I saw.

Staircase lead to a great room it's beauty was profound,
the lights were so beautiful,Chandeliers are my guess.
God sitting on his Golden Throne Angels all around,
each kneeling before his Throne, each being blessed.

Gods hand upon their heads,blessing them with love,
everyone was singing, this made my heart feel proud.
then I caught myself singing along, with angels above.
Guess then I woke myself up, I was singing very loud.

Not sure how long I'd been asleep, are even if I had,
look at life different now, knowing this place is true.
Beauty I gazed upon that day made me oh so glad.
knowing theres a place with God for me and you.
