Sparkling Blue Eyes
A young, blue-eyed boy
Guided by power
Causing girls to sigh
Causing men to glower
He drags women along
Like a cat armed with cheese
Enjoying attention
Not to love, but to tease
He makes them feel
As if they are the one
And leaves them for dead
When he decides he is done
But one day he slips
Leaving assets, possessions
He leaves evident signs
Of his past transgressions
Now he lies still and silent
With no remorse and no care
Blood is entangled
In his curly, black hair
His crisp, clear, blue eyes
Are bruised and shattered
His lithe, youthful body
Is beaten and battered
People look at him
With pity and pain
And know from his features
He has gone insane
But if you look to this man
As his mind slowly dies
You will find a small boy
With sparkling, blue eyes
