Magic Mushroom

You meet a talking mushroom
Who astonishingly says,
"I can grant you your three wishes,
If you eat carrots instead.

While most mushrooms taste hearty,
We're not really a good meal.
With carrots, your eyes glisten.
I'd say that's the better deal.

The wishes three I grant you
Will bring you extra luck,
You'll gain wisdom and spirit,
And maybe make a buck.

And if you ever want to chat,
Know that I am always here.
I could grant you three more wishes
When your calendar is clear.

All I need's a guarantee
That you'll not munch my cap
And those three wishes will be yours
And I can take my nap."
