" So what are you going to do, when the government decides to tear down illegal Satellite dishes?" I asked.
"They can't come on private property." He replied.
"Don't you feel bad, stealing satellite a signal?" I then asked.
"I'm not stealing the signal, I pay for it. I have "a guy" that hooks me up, whenever they zap the card." He answered.
"So you are stealing the signal then?" I suggested.
"No, I'm not!"
At that moment I decided to change the subject. If a Toronto Police Officer is willing to blatantly break the law, what hope is there for the simple citizens, who entrust our lives to them.
In my many years in Toronto, I have come across numerous police officers, who have bent, skirted and skewed the Truth, and break the Law. The same Laws they expect everyone to follow; the Laws they are employed to uphold and enforce.
I wonder if this particular officer has ever seen the "Rogers" commercials about the man stealing satellite signal, who could have been a Mugger or a Car Thief or some such Criminal; or the commercial were the kid steals a chocolate bar, and father asks, "where he learned how to steal." The kid replies, "But dad you steal satellite signals!"
There is much to be said about our Boys in Blue, most of them are upstanding and outstanding professionals, while there are those that just don't get it. Police Officers don't only "Serve and Protect", but as officials they must ...
