Footsteps in the Cloud

Gape, life’s struggle is trepidation, Initiated whence the course began.
Conflicts and battles, constrained degradation,
The Past tutoring the offspring of Man.

Unlike their ilk for generation,
Observed each step, in a mortal plan.
Look not within, fore obligation
Binds ye all, the Brotherhood of Man.

See these steps make ancient shroud.
Selfishness, of which they’re proud,
Petty, jealous, extravagant, loud,
Earn no footstep in the cloud.

All pass this way, every nation,
In erred quest undaunted, they began.
Know not life or its complication
Seek neither truth, nor altered plan.

Flickers, ebbs; fades in submission,
Seeing not their pasted life’s span.
Hoard no fortune’s occupation,
Neglect not the ignorant clan.

See new steps make future shroud.
Selflessness, yet they’re not so proud,
No longer petty, arrogant or loud,
Earn sure footsteps in the cloud.
