day and night

"Iron Will"

They tell me go, I say stay.
They say night, I say day.
I say, let it live, they say kill.
I could never survive...without my will.

Ask me questions, interrogate, why?
I look you in the eye, give no reply.
It's warm outside, I feel a chill.
I'd break in two...without my will.

You give me orders, I slowly comply.
You say I can't, I say I'll try.
You say I'm the sod, that no-one can till.
I'd fold to dust...without my will.

You tell me I'm wrong, I say I'm right.
You grow angry, I show delight.
I tell you life, is a sobering pill.
I couldn't live it...without my will.

I say I'll fight, till the day I die.
To reach the top, the pinnacle on high.
I will succeed, to the best of my skill.
Nothing can stop my cast iron will.
