Stephanie Kjaerbaek
Dead Folk Hero
Part 1
Dead folk hero tunes played on her beta.
Each day she worshipped his music,
with a certain sense of fusion,
till they were both off the radar.
He was her favorite predator;
reactionary till he found the cliff's edge.
While they looked on over the hedge,
he slipped over the rocks.
As the tick-tock of the clocks,
slipped him over.
She wrote his obituary.
Confounded and confused, she mused
about his whereabouts.
He didn't care about,
both sides going on now.
He only made a vow to his guitar,
till he burnt out his offerings,
with starlit nights, fire and the strains
of the sitar.
