It's an awful feeling to have people use your well intentioned site to spread ugliness. To have it not affect us is
to understand the root, and I personally feel that when there is something we don't like about ourselves we project that onto other people as a way of making ourselves feel a bit better. It's a sick and unhealthy way to live but unfortunatly many do handle things that way. In contrast - others, stop, think
and move on acknowledging their own pain. I admire your strength in doing just that and instead of rushing to some conclusion or judgement you chose to take a step back and breathe. You are stronger than most adults to be able to confront negative situations that way.
And right now there is a lot of stress with the tragic loss of Michael followed by a frustrating cancellation after such hard work to keep the show alive. We can
be best measured not by our achievements but how we handle rough times, and you have demonstrated grace under fire and continue to lead by positive example. If Michael has taught us anything it's that we barely even have enough time for all of the positve things we need to do and be in life! We simply don't have time to devote to hate, anger, and negative rumors about me or Noah, Alex, Kevin or anybody! It's just showbiz for ya! The positive side is that with the power of spreading information we have an opportunity
to help people as we have done with Michael's Foundation, The Susan G. Komen foundation, The Chris Farley Foundation, etc.... That's THE GOOD SIDE TO ALL OF THIS! and I find that exciting! The rest is not worth our time!
Thank you for once again showing class in light of stress and negative behavior! If we simply ignor it, it shows it's not important to us and we can then focus on the good stuff! Doing this will also lessen the likelyhood that more of the negative type rumors will happen

You seem like you need some words of encouragement, hon. And, I figure, every little bit helps, so I thought I'd do my best to try to give you some.
First, I'll introduce myself a bit. My name's Morgan, and I actually just discovered your website earlier this evening. I'm a (very) recent fan of 2gether and the actors, and I've been spending time lately
looking about for whatever information I can find on the show and the guys.
Your site is, no question, the best I've stumbled across so far - heck,
it's one of the best sites I've ever stumbled across, period, when you come right down to it. I look forward to searching all through it to learn everything I can about Evan and the history of 2gether. You've really done a spectacular job.
I'm a fan of both Evan and Noah, and so I've noticed the sort of animosity between the two fan groups and, 'cause of that, between people at noahsmom.com and your site. And after reading your message... I'd
like to try to encourage you, in whatever little way I can. You need it, and you deserve to hear it.
This all seems like a big ol' example of the whole human "kill the messenger" reaction, you know? When you posted what Evan said, you were trying to hope, and to share your hope with the rest of us, that the
show wouldn't be cancelled. It's 100% unfair of anyone to accuse you of badmouthing Mrs. Bastian, stirring up trouble, or any of the rest of that crap. All you were trying to do was... give us the information you thought we needed to know. You'd think it would be obvious to everyone that the bad news of the cancellation just travelled to different
sources at different speeds, but apparently not...
Anyway. When you reported what Evan told, you were totally in the right to do so. This is a kind of journalism, no? And with you as an official source, it's only right that you should tell us what you know to be the truth, even if does conflict. Personally, I think it's wonderful that you did, and I hope that, if you keep running your site, you'll go on doing exactly that. It shows how dedicated you are, and just how much you care about Evan, the show, and your fellow fans.
I think that there are a lot of people out there that do appreciate what you did, and where you were coming from. They just don't happen to be the hotheads who've been making all the unwarrented accusations, y'know? I think that if you had some way, like, mindreading all of us or something, you'd find that a lot of us were really glad that you reported what you knew.
Some people get excited over silly things - like this. It doesn't make any sense to accuse anyone of anything in this scenario, least of all you when you were just telling everyone what you'd been told. But
people are upset about the show being cancelled, and probably just lashing out wherever they can to try to take the edge off the hurt and disappointment. Unfortunately, you happen to be an easy target for
meanness at the moment, so you're getting a bunch of that tossed right at you.
I can totally understand why you feel the way you do. I would feel exactly the same, that I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep doing this, if I was in your position. But... I think that the site is worth continuing. I mean... for one thing, if rumours about Evan and Noah
are going to exist, they're going to exist with or without your site, right? I know, I know, that's probably not helping to make you feel any better, BUT - look at it this way: you can keep using your site to
strike down whatever rumours pop up, until they eventually stop circulating. Which, I think, they will. People love a good rumour, and stuff about co-stars fighting with each other are always some of the
favourites. Like all that stuff a few years ago about Brandy and Monica catfighting 24/7. This stuff goes on for a while, but then it passes. People get bored with it, and wanna go on to bigger and better things,
like speculating about who's gonna start going out with who and all of that. Especially now that 2gether's been cancelled, I kinda doubt that all this is going to last too, too much longer. I hope not, at least.
Bascially, what I'm trying to say, in my long-winded, rambling way, (^_~) is that I don't think your site is what's dividing the fans. At all. I think that pettiness and silly rumours are dividing us, and
that people like you, using your sites, are doing your best to kill all that and unite us, so we can all just enjoy the wonderfulness of the 2gether guys and stop bickering.
I think you're doing a great job, for Evan, and for all us fans. I think your site is incredible. I think that you really care about what
your doing and that, as long as you enjoy it, you should continue it. And I think that you've been really hurt by all the bad vibes being passed around, and that you should take all the time you need to heal.
But I hope you can heal soon, and that you will continue the site. It would be a shame to lose you. We need more people like you in this fandom, not less. ^_^

sad. I look to both evanfarmer.cc and noahsmom.com regularly for all my 2gether information, and in my opinion you both are wonderful and truthful sources. I really hope hope that you will not take what some stupid people say in chats and on guestbooks too seriously, because they're not worth

you a liar. PUH-LEASE do not consider closing your site! Nearly every day, at least once a week, I visit your site. I look at the updates and I LOVE your

You have to keep on with the site...don't let those girls get to you. I have tried to get them to stop with the whole thing...they have started to listen

Obviously, they're no longer rumors, but for a while there that's all we thought they were, so that's what you reported them as. You had two sources giving you contradictory claims, and you took the more reliable source as the one to believe. It ended up being wrong in this case.
I'm a hopeful future journalist and I'm in the middle of a class on journalistic ethics right now. There are angry people out there apparently, and they're unfairly taking it out on you. You did what you thought was right and that's comendable. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
Ever since I discovered your site when 2Gether first aired (and became a huge fan of Evan instantly), I've been impressed with the professionalism that you
display. Screaming fan sites have their place, but yours finds that medium ground between enthusiasm and mature reporting of the facts. Every time your
site is updated, my best friend and I get on our computers and IM each other, discussing what you've put up--otherwise we'd fight over the computer screen. Your website hasn't just been a nice way to keep up on what's going on with 2Gether news--it's become a bit of a community.

I've always valued your honesty so I totally side with you on what you say on your site. What I WILL say is that I don't think you should just give up on evanfarmer.cc...you've put too much into it! You've worked way too hard! I've always looked up to you for help and for mentoring, so if you give up, what does that leave me to think?
That is so sad that you won't be updating your site for at least a while. I understand how you feel about the attacks being made on you as a while ago when Michael first stopped filming 2gether for a while Gloria (his mom) asked me to stop rumors about him and some of the fans called me a liar
and worse. It's really hard and it does make ya question why you're doing what you're doing. I'm glad that you're keeping the site open because it makes me smile when I read Evan's posts in the guestbook. Your site is the best Evan site I have seen out there and always has the news according to Evan which is great. I for one understand that you were not trying to say that Mrs. B was lying but only trying to spread the news that Evan gave us. It was a confusing few days for a lot of fans but that was no reason for them to attack you.

I LOVE your site and trust me there is not a "war" between the sites. I know there has been a lot of confusion about different sources of information, but you can't stop updating the site. People at noahsmom.com are just freaking because the series has ended and now that Mrs. Bastian told them about a fight between Noah and Evan, people are just looking for a scape goat. If you leave your site for a while you will disappoint all of the Evan fans. Evan, especially, needs you right now, you're his official site and he has just some what been "laid off" and he needs to know that his fans still support him all the way. Where do I begin? It's so sad hearing that the show
is cancelled, obviously. Don'to worry, there was no
reason for you to announce the show was cancelled just
because another site did 1st. People are just.. well
people. There's no reason why anyone should have any
hatred towards evanfarmer.cc since you promised to report nothing but what Evan told you. If Noah told his family then fine, but you aren't going by what Noah said, It's EVAN FARMER.cc not noahbastian.cc. I hate seeing you so torn up but this petty fan based rivalry. You and the site shouldn't be brought into this. If there's tension between Evan and Noah then fine, but surrounding every band there's always rumors about tension.
Now that the show is cancelled who knows what will happen. No matter what though, evanfarmer.cc shouldn't be shut down or come to an end. "If I quit now, they win" is a quote used by Mulder in the X-files, cliche quite possibly, but it gets the message across. Don't give up. Just
because the show is dead doesn't mean the band or
Evan's career to say the least is dead. MTV can still
do movie's who knows, they could do another movie jsut
to wrap everything up.
For example, a show that was once on NBC was cancelled and TNT bought it, they reran all the episodes and after showing them all came out with a tv movie to wrap it up. There are still 2 more movies of the show to come, the show is "The Pretender". That's just one case. Also, this show could help launch Evan's career, especially since now he won't have to deal with filming a t.v. show he'll have plenty of time to do other gigs. Be optimistic and smile! No matter what, don't worrya nd be happy!
There's a reason for everything but you have to have strength. You know that doing this site has helped bring happines and a purpose into your life, even if it's not the ONLY thing that has, it has played an important role in yours. I know because it has played a role in mine and look at me, all I did were some pictures.

At first my web home was at noahsmom.com and after awhile people there just get really mean and rude and are VeRy cliquish, but here at evanfarmer.cc, it's just always this really nice friendly atmosphere, and I like that. You have a special way of reaching out to us other 2G fans and you are the nicest web site owner I have ever met! Your site rocks and you put sooo much into this site and you accomplish ALOT more than you put in and you should be soo proud and give yourself a pat on the back when you coem to your site. Almost half a year. Each time I visit, I am always blown away by the talent you possess in creating such a wonderful site. Everything is original and very creative. I absolutely love your layout!!! Since the passing of Michael, I was pleased to see that you have a section dedicated to him. Thank you. The poem "Going To Heaven" is beautiful. I cry each time I read it. Michael was an enormous influence in my life and how I live it today. I am still grieving as I am sure many of his fans are. I hope Evan and the rest of the guys are doing well.
I am glad you have decided to keep your site up. When I found out you were considering shutting it down, I was shocked and upset. I was unimpressed at what (or who) had made you come to think of such a decision. As I said before, your site is one of the best. Personally I would choose your site and 2getherdotcom as my ultimate faves. But everyone has their personal tastes right? I respect that. It's frustrating when people can't accept or respect other people's opinions. And who's right is it to force their opinions unto others? No one. The bottom line is RESPECT.
