Celine Dion had to give everything inside her to portray the young Elisa Trudel.

It's the true story of a girl who has been abused by her father and stepfather. But brave Elisa decides to take control of her life and because she has faith, she is able to turn her life around.

The series start out in the courtroom, where Elisa's case is being heard. Her alcoholic mother and her father have abused her emotionally, verbally, and physically. Her stepfather has tried repeatedly to rape her and has really tormented her.

SESAME  STREET - 1997

Celine has joined the cutest bundle of red fur around, Elmo, for Elmopalooza.

Elmo, Big Bird, and the rest of the gang are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sesame Street with a TV special, soundtrack, and video called Elmopalooza. The soundtrack features a bonus song by Celine.

Also joining the Elmopalooza excitement is Steve Tyler, Gloria Estefan, Rosie O'Donnell, En Vogue, The Fugees, and more.

Celine also acted in an episode of the Sesame Street series where she sang the song "Happy To Meet You".

This is the story of a young boy, Petey, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis.

Knowing is death is near he decided to make a list with all the things he wants to do before dying.

Among their objectives are: find a new home for his iguana, buy a special present for is mom, write a song for his friend Monica, and the most difficult, find a way to help her best friend Céline to meet her biggest idol, the great Celine Dion.

Whit the help of a friend, Petey obtain tickets for a Dion concert. The singer, knowing of his disease, speak with the children and dedicate the song "Love Can Move Mountains" to them.

At the end of the concert, Petey went to the hospital, where he dyes singing the song he wrote to her friend Monica: "Canticle 151".

>> This story is very similar to Celine's one.

Celine Dion had a niece, Karine, who died, in 1993, with 16 years-old, on Celine's arms while she was singing "Les oiseaux du bonheur" to her.
