Following a month in the recording studio, teen pop-star Aaron Carter heads out for a handful of dates, including stops at amusement parks and state fairs.
Carter begins his run with a series of radio-festival performances, the first of which is on May 28 at Rochester, N.Y.'s 98PXY Summer Jam with Ja Rule and Shaggy. He then joins a mish-mash of performers--Goo Goo Dolls, No Doubt, Michelle Branch, Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, LeAnn Rimes, Alanis Morissette, Shakira, Mary J. Blige, the Calling and Craig David--for the KISS-FM concert in Mansfield, Mass., on June 1.
Throughout May, Carter is in the studio working on the follow-up to his platinum-selling album "Oh Aaron" (Jive Records), which spawned the singles "Oh Aaron" (recorded with brother and Backstreet Boys' member Nick Carter), "Stride (Jump on the Fizzy)" (a remake of Matthew Wilder's 1980s hit "Break My Stride") and latest single, "I'm All About You." The as-yet-untitled new album is tentatively scheduled for an August release, according to Carter's spokesman.
Earlier this year, Carter took home the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards surfboard for Choice Male Performer of the Year.
