Everybody's a critic: Derrick Nunnally says Mayor Bobby Simpson wasn't delighted when his performance with teen-pop singer Aaron Carter at a fall Centroplex concert showed up on pay-per-view TV recently.
The mayor, who doesn't dance in public (for good reason), says he was "totally embarrassed" when he had to accept Aaron's request to dance in front of the crowd.
"That was not my proudest moment, trying to dance on stage," he confessed.
Derrick says, "It seems others share the opinion. The concert has been released on DVD, but Simpson cutting a rug isn't on the final cut.
"His absence was noted by a Carter fan reviewing the concert on Amazon.com, who discussed other DVD cuts with disappointment, but didn't miss Simpson.
"The fan wrote, 'The dance with the mayor of Baton Rouge was also deleted (no real loss!)'."
