(Katrillion) -- Aaron Carter's party may be coming to your town, except this time, it's not exactly a Party tour.

The boy wonder, whose previous performances have been dubbed Aaron's Winter Party, Aaron's Valentine's Party and Aaron's Party, has come up with a new gimmick.

He's calling this concert series the Rock, Rap & Retro tour. (Get tour dates!)

"I didn't actually name it," Aaron confessed to Katrillion backstage at Zootopia, a radio festival sponsored by New York's Z-100. "My mom did."

Does this mean he's ditching his fans and blazing a Limp Bizkit-like trail? Don't count on it.

"I just like different flavors of music," he said. "For that, we're gonna try to put out a lot of different music on the tour. Like I like doing remakes -- not for the album, but for the tour. I love doing Journey, Gap Band and all that stuff. Rock, Rap & Retro is a whole bunch of everything."

Rock, Rap & Retro kicks off Aug. 6 in Antioch, Tenn., and will wrap up Sept. 21 in Boston.
