Chapter 4

They arrived at the restaurant and were seated.
"Wow, this place is great. Josh, did you pick this?" Bridget asked.
"Ah -- I wish I could take credit, but no, Justin did." JC answered.
Justin shrugged.
"Good taste, Justin. " Bridget smiled at him.
"Ahh, thanks" Justin said smiling back at her.
After they ordered dinner two young fans attempted to approach the table. Security stopped them before they got too close.
"No, no -- it's ok" JC said, "let them through."
Bridget watched in wonder as the guys signed autographs and chatted a few minute with the two girls. They were amazing, all of them, but she was entranced by Josh. 'What did I do to be lucky enough for him to come into my life' she thought to herself. The two girls left and conversation resumed. Dinner came, went and dessert was brought out.
"So Bridget, other than the move to New York, getting your own place and the gig at MTV, what else is new?" Justin said sarcastically.
"Ha-ha!" Bridget laughed "Well, other than that..."
"What exactly do you do for MTV" asked Joey.
"Well, for my internships that I did, I kinda did a little bit of everything. But as of right now, I got a permanent job producing TRL, which by far is the most excitement I've had there." Bridget told them.
"Wow!" said Lance "You've sure come a long way in the past two years."
"Yeah" Bridget smiled "things just sorta fell into place for me up here" she said, while never taking her eyes off JC. If things would fall into place with Josh, she'd be happy. But she didn't know what to do about that yet. "It's strange how things work out, ya know." Justin said "I mean, we've been in New York countless times over the past two years and we only ran into you now."
"Yeah -- maybe it's fate" Bridget joked.
"What's this about fate?" Josh said, popping out of his daze.
Bridget smiled. 'He's certainly acting strange' Bridget thought to herself.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Justin. "So Bridget, and special guy in your life?"
JC's eyes shot straight up and met Bridget's from across the table.
"Um, no. Not at the moment." Bridget asked softly.
Another guy had never crossed JC's mind. It was almost inevitable that she was going to be taken soon. The way she looked, it was a miracle she wasn't seeing someone now. JC knew what he had to do. He had to tell her. Lance was right, he couldn't let her get away this time. The night ended and the six of them got back into the limo and took it back to Bridget's apartment. Bridget talked to the guys on the way home, catching up on the old days and the past two years. JC just sat quietly. As they pulled up to Bridget's apartment, JC snapped our of his daze.
"Well guys, thank you so much for a wonderful time." Bridget said.
"Oh, your welcome -- we had a great time" said Chris "We'll have to see you again soon."
"Definitely" said Bridget "Josh? Am I gonna get to talk to you before you leave?"
"Yeah" JC said.
"Ok then" Bridget said, getting out of the car. Just as she was about to close the door --
"Bridget! Wait -- " JC said "I need to talk to you."
