1999 Interview TranscriptThis is a transcript from an interview, that I have on .mp3. It was on my hard drive & I have no idea where I downloaded it from. It sounds like it was around the time of the Sydney ONO concert, and could be from a TV interview. MAURICE: We wanted to narrow it down to basically.. ROBIN: The whole show has been narrowed down to one song, which has... MAURICE: Every song for the last 2 hours... (...) MAURICE: When we heard about it, we thought, well we're going to be the first entertaining group, to open the, ahh, Olympic Australia, and ahh.... ROBIN: We thought that was great. MAURICE: Yeah, we thought, well it's a great honor... a great honor... especially on our home town. BARRY: Yeah, you know it's been ah.. We were going to come & play football in the Olympics stadium, But they wouldn't have it. ROBIN: We said... MAURICE: No they wanted us to stand... ROBIN: We said, how about this... No show, we just come & play football. We said, we said that & then... BARRY: We'll take on anyone. ROBIN: Yep. They said "No!" BARRY: And they went "Hmmm..." ROBIN: Sometimes you can't always see the gasps, from where we are... BARRY: (laugh) MAURICE: The most important thing, is to to really remind people of what we've done... and, to do Heartbreaker, and guilty & ahh, Islands In The Stream, and things like that. Which can give people like, you know, that they that knew we wrote those songs. ROBIN: Yeah, but above everything else, we want to do those songs, because we enjoy them. BARRY: Yeah, we enjoy them. Our fans in particular, ahh, need to be assured that there will be a new album, & that it will be a live album, not a live album like One Night Only, but it will be.. ROBIN: More organic BARRY: There'll be more musicians, more organic, more honest... and it will be... ROBIN: and it will be coming to a theatre near you soon. BARRY: But you gotta allow us to be adventurous, and , and ah... so we'll just take up on some (?). ROBIN: Yeah, Do you want to use your car? No mame. BARRY: But you can go by the working title which is Technicolor Dreams, and ahh.. if we want, if anything better comes along.. that's our favourite title right now. So we're going to work by that. And we're going to have a Technicolor Dreams tour & we're going to make it as much fun as possible.

Cristina Pimental forward this to me from her buddy Savitha. It's about the
above interview: " An entertainment show on Singapore tv (the same one that gave away 3
pairs of tickets and all-expenses paid trip to the Sydney concert) had a little
clip on the Brothers and this is what they said about the new album: The brothers were in fine form and some of their soundbites were really
funny! Talking about the Sydney concert (interview was obviously done before the
